Suneko Shave#52 Final Shave. This blade lasted much much longer than I expected. It started to decline pretty fast, probably because whatever coating that was on it, had worn off. The final shave was starting to tug, ATG, after I had done a good Pre-shave Preparation. All done with ARKO and the Gillette Fatboy E-1. No blade stropping. BTW, that isnt rust, just fine bits of whiskers on the blade. It wasn't cleaned during the test, just rinsed while in the razor. How I kept track. With my score, every 5 shaves.
awesome,well done.they certainly have kept their reputation intact.if they stay in production at their current quality,and folks like the feel of this blade when shaving,they will be a fine replacement for all the "no longer available" blades out there.
It is up there with the Gillette Spoilers, Personna 74, and Wilkinson Sword Super Swords. Plus, the Suneko is a fraction of the cost of those others.
We have $$$$$ to burn.. Actually I have enough blades of one brand or another to last me till I'm 977 years old. 52 shaves? I'd lose track after the first 6 or 8.
And I hear ya. It's amazing what we do for just the fun/hellava it, ain't it? But I wonder why I buy what I do when I already have something that's working great.
PearlMax Super Platinum/Super Stainless 10 Shaves So far, they have been very good shaves. Not as smooth as the Suneko though.
PearlMax Super Platinum 12 shaves and done. Well, the blade fell off fast, after ten shaves. The ATG shaves weren't as comfortable as they should be. Also, two passes weren't getting it done, requiring 3 passes. It was time to toss it. Suneko is still the King of the Chinese blades.

I'm in the process of testing an Iguetta Platinum blade. So far so good. It's doing better than the PearlMax.
