    Surprisingly great shave this morning from a sophisticated goo shave(course it was Proraso, though). It appears the Big Pro has done better for me with each shave. I warmed up the can under the tap, but still it came out squiggly. Well done all over except for that tricky area separating the right side jawline from Cactus. I'll get there soon. One pass. Zero cuts, Knicks, Polka-dots. Great work from the Pro aftershave. Coming back with same for Presidents Day. Super Duper Outstanding.

    Good afternoon.

    Rockwell 6C
    Zorrik DE Blade (1,2)
    Omega Pro 49 Boar Brush
    Van der Hagen Select SS
    Pinaud-Clubman Classic AS
    Stirling Alum Block
    Modessa Witch Hazel
    Beard Growth: 29 hrs.
    Dome Turf: 3 days

    I decided to use a blade that I have never used before to attack my stubble and dome turf. I also upped the aggression on my 6C to it's max setting. I haven't used setting 6 in years so I figured why not live dangerously. Lol! Seriously, I don’t consider the Rockwell 6C setting 6 aggressive, although other shavers may beg to differ. I went with the VdH soap that's in my mug because it provides a nice, creamy and slick lather. The scent is gone because I leave the puck in the mug at all times. It is no loss because it originally had a clean, but mild scent. Here's my lather:

    My first impression on the Zorrik blade is that it is sharp and smooth. It is made in India and I would say it is similar to a Gillette Wilkinson Sword blade. Anyway, I did 3 passes on both my dome and face to get a BBS error-free result. I could have stopped after 2 passes for both areas, but I like 3 pass shaves.
    The alum feedback was slight on the neck and back of the dome. Splashed on the witch hazel and the Pinaud-Clubman Classic aftershave to finish this session. In concluding, I don't know if Zorrik blades are still available because I haven't checked the internet as of this post, but based on this shave I would say that I would repurchase them. Take care.

    Classy soap name, but it must be part of the "classy" Taylor team.

    Flexible, Favourite, Feather, Fatip, Fine, Felce, whatever grabs my Fancy

    19 Feb 2024.jpg

    Growth = 1 day
    Prep = cold water splash
    Preshave = TOBS Jermyn Street cream
    Cream = TOBS Oud, time I tried this, mild scent
    Brush = Old Vulfix 1000A
    Bowl = Timeless
    Razor = Gillette Red Tip, another favourite
    Blade = Permasharp (1)
    Passes = 2 +
    Post = CWR, Alum, CWR, Thayer’s, Pinaud Whiskey Woods
    Scent = Bulgari Wood Essence
    Damage = none

    This TOBS, like my other ones, is a soft croap but don’t be deceived, it still takes a lot of water to get the shiny slippery almost dripping state that works best
    Doing well enough with my left hand behind the neck
    Well Paul @Paul Turner like you said before with some of your after shaves, this one took me by surprise: the Niagara Falls effect I mean, that opening might be on the large side! Anyway more is better!

    Have a great Monday everyone
