I have decided on start work on my next 3017 target, Stirling Soap British Leather. I enjoy the scent, the performance is good and it already has a donught of death. I need to use lot of soap for my 4 pass routine so this should just have a month left.

AoS Oud~~Rubberset 400/3~~Leresche #51/Astra~~St Johns West Indian Lime Cologne
This weekend will be the last for the AoS cream. I am surprised how long it held out.
Back to the Leresche and I got a few weepers on my neck.
This razor performs better when I ride the cap, which I don't always do.

The Astra SP was just OK.
Found this vintage bottle of St Johns on Ebay. There's easily 6oz remaining.
Excellent price and very nice stank.

Happy Saturday. I am really enjoying this run with the LEA soap. Another great shave to start the day. Swati and I took my Mom to lunch. Now we are planning to relax for the remainder of the day. Have a great day and take care.

No matter how many products I 3017, I am not seeing much volume-reduction in my shave den. :scared003:
    IMG_8503.jpeg
The last lather was as good as the first.
    Rode the cap
with the Leresche and finished my shave sans weepers.
Royall Bay Rhum to complete the festivities.
Difficult to find this vintage juice when it was still made in Bermuda.

For my next 3017, I settled on this ancient tube of Rose of Bulgaria cream. Not that big, so it shouldn't take too long to finish.

It's been a long time since I've used it. I'd forgotten just how much I like it. Really good stuff. It just became another victim of too much crap in the den and got pushed to the back.

I have a folder where email receipts live forever. So I looked, and see that I bought it in January of 2015.

Well, there's a crap-ton of soap remaining in this tub; maybe 85%---or more.
I have never been a huge fan of LPL, but their tallow offerings are, imo, superior to their vegan.
It's still very cold and is going to remain so for a while, therefore my next 3017 should be a woodier/earthier scent.
The Oud-Santal smells pretty-darn fine and I did get a very nice shave...:signs002:
If you see it tomorrow, you'll know what's in store.
I played chemist again and layered an Oud cologne with a Sandalwood cologne.
Wonder what gave me that idea :signs002:
    Stankin' good in the neighborhood.

Happy Sunday Everyone. It is sunny but cold here today. Despite its looks the Hype X1 razor is a fantastic shaver. I have come to prefer injector razors that allow disassembly and cleaning between shaves without the fuss of an injector key. The X1 delivers in that respect. Take care and have a great day.

    So here's the next 3017.
In preparation for my upcoming 10 year TSD anniversary PIF, I scraped out a few ounces of my two LPL soaps.
    IMG_8970.jpeg
These two soaps, along with more goodies, will be piffed in their original containers.
These large 7oz tubs still contain almost 4oz of product each.
I am going to 3017 the Oud-Santal, then follow up with the Bay Rum.
I am going to have to dial in these soaps, because they really resist becoming "yogurty".
I think I'll load "drier" and add H2O more slowly.
Tried the "J-Hook" technique on my neck and got some really good results.
A direct ATG in that sensitive area is always a crap-shoot.
My most prized cologne finished a very nice shave.

As reported, I have begun the first of two truncated 3017's.
Achieved a creamier lather, which was pretty slick.
The FH slip-slided across the kisser leaving it smooth and soft and remarkably more handsome.
    Is that even possible?
Stank juice not a fav of Dr. Mrs. Primo, so...while the cat's away, the mice will play.

Well, well. I'm back in the heart hospital today for not one, not two, but three more stents. That's five total for those of me who are counting. If you're thinking "that sucks," well, actually it doesn't. Couple of weeks ago the cardiologist was using the word "bypass." But he looked more at the imaging, talked with some peers, and decided to attempt intervention. Praise God! All went well, and I'll be home tomorrow. No bypass.

Now to get myself on topic. They said I'd probably be home the same day, but possibly overnight, so plan accordingly. Fortunately I listened for once. The 3017 continues uninterupted.

After pressing all the air out I see that I'm a lot further into this tube than I thought. It'll be gone in no time.

    I don't
usually do this, but I am bagging the LPL 3017's.
No way, I am going to use a product (two, in fact) that don't create the type of lather I demand in a shave soap.
I grated a newly-acquired puck of Dominica Bay Rum soap and will give it a shot tomorrow.
Not expecting great things as the test lather was less than satisfying. Ugh.

Well, done. AoS creams are wonderful.

Glad to hear you avoided the bypass. Wishing you a quick recovery.
