Bought it on a whim and really wasn’t expecting much. I did it mostly to support a local artisan/retailer as it keeps the wet shave world moving. But, 2 shaves in with this “novelty razor” and it has proven not to be so novel at all. A bit weighty as the weight is geared more towards the handle but, it doesn’t affect the shave. Easy and intuitive with an almost fixed angle that rests comfortably and moves smoothly removing whiskers quite easily. Lather build up in the razor is channeled nicely away from the cutting area and through the lather slots. Rinses nicely with no clogging yet, I haven’t tried the SoloEdge with more than 1 days growth. Smooth & easy yet nicely efficient. Has the feel in hand like a regular DE but, has a feeling of sorts like a GEM Bullet Tip. Hard tto explain and I still need to get a few more shaves in to really get a feel for what it’s comparable to. So far, so good from a razor that feels solid in hand, holds the blade down rigidly & precisely. Great shaves to all….
Yes. The very first post from the OP has a picture with the half blade placed next to the razor itself. Kind of small but, it's there if you look closely. Happy shaves....
