The GZD Berber Stick Shaving Soap lathered well with Tom's B400 2-band Badger Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Gold Dollar 280 straight gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Lucky Tiger After Shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Man oh man this 50s Super Speed is such an awesome razor and it has such sentimental value to me because it was a gift for my 14th birthday from my Dad, of dearly loved and cherished memory. The Astra Greens have become my favourite blades because they’re very sharp, yet very smooth and forgiving. My dear brother Fernando’s Vintage Spice soap and aftershave are so wonderful - honestly they’re both a PERFECT substitute for the Shulton Old Spice that I loved so much. This soap lathers like a champ, there’s so much slickness to it, and that scent…….Shulton Old Spice all the way, not to mention how soothing it is. The Aloe Vesta moisturizer works so well as a balm because it’s unscented and it gives great protection against irritation or dryness, and finally the Vintage Spice aftershave went on with no burning or stinging because it’s witch hazel based, along with its gorgeous Shulton Old Spice scent that lasts almost all day. Three passes gave me a most delightful BBS shave that I enjoyed from start to finish!

Razor : Razorock Game changer.84 with a RR 316 SSP radio knob handle. Mfg 2018>, tame mid range. Machining and finish QC are excellent. I find that using the Kai SS extra wide blade the blade feel is just perfect for my shaving needs using the RR GC.84. At first when bought I found the blade feel was tame mid range using a standard blade so years later with some research the Kai SS blades are wider giving a nice bump up in blade exposure(blade feel) and know I use my GC.84 more often. Had a stellar close comfortable shave this morning.
Blade : Kai SS extra wide (9), sharp and smooth with excellent longevity. Nice blade to use if you want some improvement in blade feel. I will always have a tuck or 2 in my shave den for my milder razors!
Soap : Ogallala Bayrum & Sandalwood, nice Bayrum sandalwood (some clove) scents with great lather qualities. I enjoy Bayrum because it is not that sweet scent always we get with a majority of shave soaps.
Brush : Yaqi "Bali" 24 mm 3band silvertip badger. Excellent lather generator, luxury pillow soft tips, nice splay scrubber + great lather painter.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Ogallala Bayrum and Sandalwood (some clove) + a dollop of Geo F Trumper Sandalwood skin food.
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers= Had a stellar close comfortable shave this morning with my RR GC.84 with a extra wide Kai SS blade.

Pre:
Cold wet flannel to my face.
Cien PURE Fragrance Free Sensitive Bar Soap.
Brush: Omega S10018.
Bowl Lather.
Bowl: Tesco's Ceramic 'Cosmo' Side Bowl.
Lather: Nivea Men Sensitive Pro Ultra-Calming Liquid Shaving Cream.
Blade: Treet Dura Sharp (Carbon) blue pack. (D2)
Razor: Merkur 37C.

Post:
Cold water face wash with brush squeezing's, Cold Water Face Rinse. /Homemade (~Autumn/Winter mix~) peppermint lavender, eucalyptus, + Tea Tree essential Oils Mixed Together With Care+Witch Hazel./ Brut Oceans ASL./ Wilko Men's ASB.

Here my Shave of the Day (25.02.2024)


Razor: Mongoose // Blade: KAI Titan Mild // Soap: SC Endurance // Brush: Scott Pavkovich // Aftershave: Humphrey´s Grapefruit Witch Hazel

The Mongoose is back…in my rotation

It was a ver, VERY niche shave. Mild, smooth and thoroughly. 2,5 passes and i was done.

Love the scent of the soap and the soap in general. Great stuff.

I was in a mood for a Silvertip Brush so i thought: Why not use a good old Scott Pavkovich brush…so i did. No regrets. I get better lather with a Synthetic Brush but it was fine all in all.

To end up the shave i used Witch Hazel only. Humphrey´s with Grapefruit. It is a nice contract with it´s natural, fruity scent to the soap with it´s warm and spicy notes. Feels great on the skin. I should use Witch Hazel more often.

I had fun because it was a great shave and now i am ready to face the day.

A clear 10 out of 10

Two passes and touch ups with the 1902 Kampfe Brothers/Star LC and a Star Wedge Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Lucky Tiger After Shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
