    Flexible
    , Favourite, Feather, Fatip, Fine, Felce, whatever grabs my Fancy

    1 day

    Prep = cold water splash
    Preshave = The Body Shop Maca root and Aloe hand applied
    Cream = The Body Shop Maca Root and Aloe, brush lathering
    Brush = Omega EVO
    Bowl = none, Face Lathering: bowl to rest the brush in
    Razor = Gillette 1958 "TV" Special date code D3
    Blade = Feather (2)
    Passes = 3 passes plus touch ups were needed today
    Post = CWR, Alum, Thayers etc
    ASL = Pinaud’s Clubman
    Scent = Bulgari wood essence to the pulse points
    Damage = none

    Comment = overall good shave. Feather was still sharp but didn’t feel as if it had enough “bite” hence the need for 3 + passes
    This Gillette seems somewhat similar to my Flare Tip, a bit mild perhaps?
    Perhaps the slightly wider Kai will wake this razor up a bit...
    Still feel that I might benefit from using a longer Prep together with Pre shave, but this was an acceptable abbreviated travel-type shave

    Enjoy your Monday gents, wherever you may be

    As I mentioned yesterday, it was a no shave day because I wanted to be freshly shaved for my morning meeting with Joe C.
    I picked one of my Aust Razors for the task. The PAA K. Rex Emporium SS really provides an easy, creamy slick lather. Here's my lather:

    20240226_081142.jpg

    Three passes and a minor touchup gave me a BBS result. Unfortunately on my 2nd pass, I got a weep on my left sideburn. Hit it with the alum block and it wouldn't seal up even when I hit it a few times with the alum block. I had to do the old cold paper towel application to finally stop it. Oh well, mission accomplished.
    I had very little alum feedback. Splashed on the witch hazel and the aftershave. I am ready to meet Joe for breakfast. Take care.

    This morning's shave was a big downhill slide(call it s repel)from yesterday's. Same items used in both shaves. The soap is getting a little too "watery" to continue. My hat goes off to those who fully complete their soaps(that is, with nothing left but the bottom of the jar/puck.). Goodm job at the cheeks&sideburns as well as North Porcupine, but it all went bad from there down South. 2 Knicks at South Porcupine, 3 Polka-dots down at Cactus Nation. I mean, I shaved off the whiskers all right, but at the expense of the Knicks and Polka-dots. I have to do MUCH SOFTER in those areas next time. 2 passes. Fine February thus closes out not well. Let's call it Extremely Mediocre.Shux.

    Story is-I don't seem to do well when there isn't much soap left. That's why in the past I flipped soaps that-like the Latigo-are ALMOST gone, but not quite. And I thinl that fact alone ruined my shave strategy. I went a little to hard south of North Porcupine, thinking "how am I going t0 d9 this one when there's much more water on he brush than soap?" But I'll get another Latigo soap, that's for sure.

    Superb Declaration Grooming shave this morning prior to my breakfast meet up with Joe, @Trigger. The boar brush whipped up an excellent lather and the straight delivered an errorless shave.

    Once again, our meet up last two plus hours as we never seem to run out of things to discuss whether or not related to wet shaving. Our next meet up will be towards the end of March.

    Hope you all had a great day gentlemen.
