Fabulous last tow shave with both straight razors. The first picture features my first completed shave restoration including custom kirinite scales. It shaves well but I may take it to the lapping film to give it a refinish for much better results next time. While I am at it, I may decide to rep in the scales to form a tighter fit.

    Have a great day gentlemen.

    Greetings,

    Early morning shave,

I have mentioned before in many of my posts, something I've learned since becoming a traditional wet shaver is if I had used the shaving brush, shaving soap/cream method when I shaved with Cartridge razors for all those years my shaves would have been 100% better and more enjoyable as back then, shaving was just a mundane task and something I hated having to do with a strong passion getting no enjoyment from it what so ever.

The Merkur 37C, FaTip Grande, Personna Comfort Coated Lab Blue & Treet Dura Sharp Carbon blue pack have provided me with close comfortable and present face & head shaves this month...Throughout March I will be using the Gillette Guard for my head/dome shaves and a variety of DE razors 'mainly my Parker's for my face shaves and carrying on using various Treet DE blades.

A wonderful shave to finish my last shave of February off on a high.

A comfortable 2 pass + pick ups silky smooth shave with no errors to report.

Finishing the shave off with a few small dollops of Nivea Men Replenishing PSB.

My face is feeling cool smooth & smelling divine.;)

Keep safe, and enjoy your day ladies & gentlemen.

Fine Finish to February with some of my Favourites

    Flare Tip
    Favourite Bowl, Timeless
    Favourite Brush, Omega 10049 bristle
    Favourite Soap, Sterling (Bay Rum)
    Favourite ASL, Sterling Bay Rum

(Fairly Rummed out for the rest of the day!)

Kai again (3) this time in a milder razor
Did Palm strop this, but doubt this did anything
    Better Face Prep this time

    3 + Passes needed
Skin stretching with facecloth as needed (where did I see that on The Tube? Anyway it works well)
With the Rockets and my normal blades one can be cavalier with moderate to heavy pressure on the razor, depending on which part of the face one is tackling

With this Kai I really needed to pay attention to letting the weight of the razor do the work, sort of focuses one’s mind and a great aid to improving technique

Super-duper smooth again. Better still: no damage

..another thought: one could do the first pass with a fresh Kai and then later passes with a different milder blade/razor combination…

…then again, I might try the Kai in one of my adjustables in future. There is always debate about adjustable razors, but if you had was a Kai blade then the adjustable would be a good way of (1) either taming it, or (2) opening up the razor and having some more fun

Have a great Thursday one and all

Very happy with my Throwback shave today. It's nice to be able to pair Stoylin Agar soap with Agadir A.S. I haven't used Agadir for quiten a while...hope to get in more usage before it turns hot&humid. Clean and clear alongside the cheeks&sideburns. Ditto Porcupine. Most of Cactus looks fine..would like to do better alongaide the Ingrown Hair area(course that's nothing new). No cuts, Knicks, Polka-dots. 2 passes(I did another brush swirl before the second-I've decided to lean towards keeping the brush on the dry side...ahhh, SLIGHTLY moist. As Outstanding As It Gets.
