Yep, boar brushes can be a lather hog. Awesome shave with the Mike’s soap. I would like to add one of his to my den in the distant future.

Thank you Joe..I like to remind myself every so often that you don't need top self shaving assortments to achieve a quality close shave...Technique & shaving confidence trumps tools.:happy088:

Yes, it was a head and face shave session for this afternoon. I went with my Model T at the max setting. I have to say that I should have checked how many shaves with this blade because it really felt somewhat rough on my dome, but not so much on my face and neck. Did get a tiny weep on my chin, but it stopped with the cold water. Unfortunately, I nicked myself twice along the crick of the back of my neck. That area is a tough spot to get all the hairs, so repeated buffing passes are necessary to get it clean. In hindsight, I should have replaced the blade. Going forward, I will use these blades in my non-adlustable mild razors. In any event, I did get a smooth result on dome, face and neck area.

The alum feedback was fine on the face, some on my neck and a lot on the nick areas. Finished the last of the witch hazel and splashed on the matching aftershave. Take care.

Wonderful shave and setup Gary. I have heard only good things about Speick. I guess it's a ymmv thing.

Wonderful shave and definitely an appropriate soap choice in keeping with the wet weather on Long Island. Btw, watersports are not my thing Joe.

Thanks Joe. I haven't used my Ace of Spades because my other straights are sharper and I am just lazy to refresh it. I have a number of straights that need to be honed.
