Well, a tough beginning to this Throwback Thursday shave, but it looked better in the end. Great work at the cheeks&sideburns, and an improvement at N. Porcupine(I got the right side-the side that has been driving me crazy). A scary cut developed at South Central Porcupine. I overdid it-bad mistake. When you "overdo" a shave, you pay for it. Got me thinking of skipping all of S. Porcupine for the next few shaves, as has been suggested recently. Maybe just "trimming" the area would work-will try that tomorrow. Solid at the jawline and most of Cactus. The cold-water rinse and A.S. made things look much better at S. Porcupine. Pretty Outstanding. Decisions to make for S. Porcupine.

Thank you Joe.I agree with you the WS Saloon Pack are fantastic blades, as are many others I have in my vast subcontinent DE blade collection.

I saw your previous post and didn't know how to reply to it frankly, out of concern of repeating things I said before. But let me just say:
    1. Try to go softer all around.
    2. A little more soap, a little less water prior to the shave.
.3. Make sure to check for "misses" before moving on.
    4. Leave the soap/foam on longer before shaving it off.

Since you shave after a shower, no effect on cuts.
    In addition:
    Stretch the skin.
    Abandon the multi-blade cart.
Quit after a WTG pass. You shave daily, so who cares if you don't get a BBS.

tobs soaps don't tend to linger long in my opinion, hence the need for their aftershave or balm.traditionally no real post shave attributes either, hence the need for,,well you know.;):eatdrink047:

Terrific shave Gary. These artisans that constantly change their formula do so as a marketing strategy to raise their prices. I don't care for it. There's no reason for them to keep changing formulas when the original or the first new and improved base is very good. I don't mind if prices are raised every few years in small increments due to inflation, but to introduce new formulas for the sake of increasing prices does not sit well with me. Stirling does not do this and it's one of the many reasons why I support them.

i agree.not my thing now, though i was caught up in it for a while,if only to find the best product for me..i really have far too much product now to need anything soap related, let alone" better" stuff.i am really starting to enjoy hard soaps more these days because the produce an honest lather,as well as brit creams that just work perfectly when needed.i just ordered 2 pucks of the ach brito mogno hard soap, nice, affordable and great performance hard soap.if i figured correctly,it should be my last replaceable soap product i buy.i will use all my others, give some away etc,but back to basics is my way from here.when that is achieved will be years away but it's nice to dream...;):eatdrink047:i will enjoy it one day at a time..
