Very nice shave with the custom straight. I decide to take the blade to my pasted strop prior to the shave. The end result was a smooth and close shave. The closest I have had with this blade since I had to redo the edge last July due to a mishap.

Additionally, give all the commentary on the various Oud scented software in my den at the request of Joe, @Trigger and for the benefit of all but especially Chris, @ChrisB, I could not resist reaching for the first Oud scented software to grace my den, the RR Stallion. This is the second tub of this fine soap.

I couldn't wait to try this razor with an injector blade. I recently found out that you can do so. Well, I just have to say wow! The Schick Injector Blade tamed this razor big time. I couldn't believe how smooth and comfortable this razor was during the shave. I was able to do an ATG pass under my nose without fear of cutting myself.. 3 passes gave me an error-free BBS result. I am so impressed that when I use up my GEM and Daylogic SE blades that I will only use injector blades with this razor.
I did get some alum feedback. Splashed on the Pinaud-Clubman Classic aftershave and I am delighted with this new discovery of shaving with this GEM razor.

I want to give this caveat. Do not use an injector blade in any GEM flip-up razors because the razor won't close tight enough to secure the blade. It only works for the twist to open GEM razors. @JACarbone Joe, I am sure that you will love using an Injector Blade in your GEM MMOC.
