Institut Karité shave cream

I have read a lot of good things about Institut Karité shave cream and was wondering where I could get a sample to try before buying this.

Any suggestions?

 

Never tried it either and can't remember anyone doing so and writing about it...

 

I bought some and was pleased with the shave it gave me but not so pleased with the scent. It's not offensive but just not as nice as a lot of others out there. The IK has shea butter and is great on the face. Don't know where you'd get samples as I had a hard time finding any to buy.

I've never tried the IK cream, but I know a bit about the members reviews. It's supposed to be good, but nothing very special. I don't believe I'd look for that as a top choice for a cream.

A little while back, there was a big problem buying the shaving soap pucks. The cream was still available for purchase on some sites, but no one much cared. All the normal vendors of the soap ran out and weren't able to reorder. Quite a lot of members DID care about that.

If you checked the reviews of the soap that members at TSD and other forums wrote, you'll find the soap gets excellent reviews. That's the stuff to try, and I'm talking from personal experience. It's pretty amazing.

You probably know this already, but JoAnna offers samples of the IK soap. She's most likely the only online vendor anywhere to make it available like that. Yeah, it's sorta pricey, but it's an interesting option to popping for a full puck.

Heh, knowing how much you'll probably like the stuff, I'd order 2 new pucks from the Johns at www.shavingessentials.net Yeah, always order some extra of whatever you get, in order to save on the shipping..........

Anyway, they're nice guys to deal with, and a good place to know about.

Oh....I just realized you may not use soaps at all. In that case, never mind...........heh.

 

If you decide to go with the soap, I'd second the advice to go with Shavingessentials. Great guys to do business with. I ordered from them and shipping was very fast. I am seeing this soap available from a few more places lately than before.

Like I mentioned before I would like to try this before purchasing it because it is a little pricey and I would hate not to enjoy it.

I have small sizes of IK shaving cream and aftershave balm for sale on my site. I'm not sure if John @ shavingessentials.net has the small ones, but he'll be quick to answer an email I'm sure.

 

I don't think I ever tried the IK soap or cream, but perhaps one day, InSha'Allah I will.
