    Razor: Parker 24C.

    Cold Water Face Rinse./Cold water face wash with brush squeezing's, /Alum Rub./Cold Water Rinse./Homemade (~Spring/Summer mix~) Lemon, Eucalyptus, Tea Tree, Essential Oils.5 Menthol Crystals Mixed Together With Care+Witch Hazel./Brut ASL./ Wilko Men's Moisturiser.

    Greetings,

    A wonderful shave to finish my shaving week.

    I have mentioned on many occasions that The Body Shop Maca Root & Aloe shaving cream never fails to provided me with a smooth protective slick lather in no time leaving a superb post shave feel. This cream gives the best protective slickness, and post shave feel that I have had from any shaving cream that I have tried to date...It's such a shame that The Body Shop has went into administration with the loss of another great shaving product, and more importantly the loss of 480+ jobs in the UK...Enough said.

    A comfortable 2 pass + pick ups silky smooth shave with no errors to report.

    Finishing the shave off with a few small dollops of Wilko Men's Moisturiser.

    My face is feeling cool smooth & smelling divine.;)

    Keep safe, and enjoy your day ladies & gentlemen.:cool:

    Excellent shave Barry. It's sad that another soapmaker went belly up.

    Days growth = 1

    Prep = cold water soak
    Preshave = TOBS Jermyn street as a preshave
    Soap = Tabac
    Brush = Omega 10049
    Bowl = Timeless
    Razor = Gillette Popular
    Blade = Feather (2)
    Passes = 2 +
    Post = Usual CWR, Alum, CWR, Thayers
    ASL = Tabac
    Post Care = Tabac Balm
    Scent = Guerlain pour homme to the pulse points, gentile start to the day=
    Damage = none

    The Feather has a bit more ‘bite’ than the Bolzano, more care needed

    Another superb shave with the Tabac, wondering why I don’t use this more often…

    Enjoy your day and your shaves gents

    Another great shave Barry and excellent write up

    I like my Maca Root & Aloe with a synthetic brush, good to see you promoting it

    The local stores are still open here in Perth WA, 20% sale at the moment, but I like to diversify my soaps and creams

    Terrific Tabac shave Chris. I have the Tabac shave stick and never get a bad shave with it. Do you have the original formula or the new version?

    I always like to have very good Throwback Thursday shaves, and today was just that. I new I had to work a little harder with the small and weak Clubman brush(thinking actually of flipping it), thus I knew there'd be a challenge. Not only that, the "duffnut hole"in the Jeeves puck is getting larger-the soap is just along the sides. All in all it went real well. Clean and clear in most areas, although I struggled some at S. Porcupine and the jawline. Zeroes across the board with cuts, Knicks, and Polka-dots. 2 passes. I've always been happy with Stephan Bay Rum A.S., as I was today. Clean, manly scent. There may be some clove action, but it's neatly mixed in with the other ingredients. Super Duper Outstanding.

    Thanks Joe

    Tabac Original soap in the bowl. Don't have the packaging anymore. Bought in Feb 2023. I seem to remember it was the Tallow version obtained in Oz. I find it lathers beautifully in the bowl but gets even better when vigorously applying it to the face with the 10049. Super slick

    I do have the Tabac shave stick with Tallow, bought this when the vegan scare came out, but haven't got around to using it yet. Might want to do a face lathering focus at some stage, that would be interesting too

    not a bad shave then Paul. I am finding that sticking with one setup for 3 or 4 days helps a lot. I know that is the point of this thread, but I am impatient and a slow learner. Not familiar with that bay rum, but don't mind a bit cloves in my ASL

    That's as far as I go with one setup, 3-4 days. I've read that the best Bay Rums REQUIRE cloves-not sure the logic but I just shrugged my shoulders. They don't need to be overpowering, and they aren't with Stephan(as they might be with other brands).

    Thanks Joe. Yeah it is a shame. But it's a common occurrence with high street shopping these days, buying on line is the way forward now. It cuts out rents, taxes, wages to employees etc...

    Shavette Shave # 224

    Rating: 5 / 5

    Razor: Dovo Shavette
    Blade: Personna Hair Shaper
    Brush: PAA The Green Ray 24 mm
    Pre-Shave: Pears Transparent Soap
    Lather: Lakewood Soap Company Casual Friday
    Aftershave: Pinuad Citrus Musk
    Additional Care:
    Dickenson’s Original Witch Hazel
    Omega Alum
    Stirling Unscented Glacial Balm

    Super shave with the Lakewood Soap and Dovo Shavette this morning. The quality and scent of the Lakewood soap is outstanding.

    The Shavette is the lightest of my shavettes in either den. Also, it is fitted with one of the sharpest blades, the Personna Hair Shaper. I easily would have been satisfied with a one pass shave but I opted for my usual three passes. The end result was super smoothness. The smoothness is still presenting itself 7 hours post shave.

    Hope you all had an enjoyable day gentlemen.
