Thursday, March 21 AoS Sandalwood~~Rubberset 400/3~~1936 Gillette Aristocrat De Luxe/Personna 74~~Invictus Aqua I had to do it. Found this 'Crat and in a moment of weakness, made it my own. Arrived today and I took it for its maiden voyage. Loaded with a fresh Personna 74, I was in "Shaefer City". My new "Desert Isle" razor.

March 22, 2024 Pils 101NL Gillette 7 O’clock Yellow Semogue Mixed Antiga Barbearia de Bairro Shave Soap Antiga Barbearia de Bairro Principe Real Aftershave Happy Friday Everyone. I am glad this week is coming to an end. It has been a one for the books. Another great shave with the Pils. I will be putting it away to rotate through some of my other razors. Take care and have a great day.
March 21&22 Occam’s DE w PermaSharp Omega Pro / Resin Fine Platinum Classic SS Myrsol Emulsion (yesterday) F extra (today) Didn’t post yesterday, but went with the same gear today, save for the change in splash. This F extra gets the swmbosoa…always a good thing. I think I’ll pick up another Myrsol AS, they are quality products for sure. Take care all.
Thanks, Jason. It has been replated with 24k gold. Royal yes, but unfortunately, not original. The blade bank was also re-plated. The case not and only has minor lettering loss on the inside. All-in-all, a nice razor.
the fresh gold will far outlast its original.stunning, and functional.original gold plating in mint condition would deem it a museum shelf queen..
That was my problem with his reply, too. It appears the gentleman lacked confidence in what he said. Course he could have been having some fun with us, which is something he likes to do. Which is it, buddeh?
Friday, March 22 AoS Sandalwood~~Simpson 90th Anniversary Astor~~1936 Gillette Aristocrat De Luxe/Personna 74 Here's a sharper picture of the 'Crat. You can see that the purple liner has a tear along the hinge and that the lettering has a good amount of abrasion. Excellent shave with the same soap/blade as yesterday. The Astor was a necessary choice. I needed something with the same class as the razor. Funny, I have this urge to don my cutaway, spats and top hat. Now excuse me, whilst I peruse the New Yorker.
I'm back after my trip to the homeland. I visited the Ronald Reagan library where I got to see a retired Air Force1. The docent told me that the 'Football' also contains a puck of Tabac and Taba cologne so you can witness the end of the world smelling great. Through the end of March I will try different soaps to see which will be my next 3017 target. First up is a brand new puck of Stirling Electric Sheep. I find Electric Sheep out performs my other pucks of Stirling although the scent is not horrible and not great either. My Snail Forge razor, Wootz steel with a mamoth tusk scales has afantastic edge and delivered an epic shave.
