March 26 Head and Face Shave

Good afternoon.

Gillette Heritage Razor
Wilkinson Sword DE Blade (2,3)
Omega Pro 49 Boar Brush

Beard Growth: 23 hrs
Dome Turf: 3 days.



Did 3 passes on the dome and only needed 2 passes on the face and neck. Porpoise smooth on top and BBS on face and neck. Did get a nick under my chin. This razor is mild, but efficient and I was a little cavalier with my technique. In other words, I landed the razor incorrectly because I was on autopilot. Lol! #@$% happens! Oh, I hit my skin tag behind my ear and that hurt. Trimmed my ears and got a weep on the top portion of my ear. Otherwise, I am pleased with this shave.
The alum feedback was negligible. Splashed on the matching aftershave to finish this session. It looks like this soap will be used up by tomorrow. I am glad about it. However, I have 2 more TSD pucks that are hardly used. One has a barbershop scent and the other has an orange scent. They are great to use this time of year. Take care.

Second use with the Hoffman’s software. The Sawdust Creation Studio synthetic whipped up a nice lather although not as nice as yesterday’s WTF Vintage Barbershop. That being said, the lather provided a slick cushion for the blade to do its works.

I did my usual three pass shave for an extremely close shave. First use with the blade which resulted a few 10 minute delayed weepers post shave. Easily taken care of.

Very nice shave this morning. I threw on more goo to my face than during previous sophisticated goo shaves. Time to make the Proraso really work for me. That's the plan with the Proraso from here on out(more than usual). I have two cans, after all....not like they both will be gone tomorrow. Just a great clean&clear all over shave with zero cuts, Knicks, Polka-dots. Left a little at the jawline, just above North Central Cactus Nation. Nice finish again with the Proraso A.S.(Barbe Dure, whatever that means). As Outstanding As It Gets.

Preshave = TOBS Jermyn Street
Soap = Sterling Agar, very light / little scent
Brush = 10049
Bowl = Timeless
Razor = Gillette Red Tip
Blade = First Pass Bolzano (3) binned. Finished up with a Gillette Platinum
Passes = 3 +
Post = Usual CWR, Alum, CWR, Thayers
ASL = Sterling Bay Rum
Scent = Pure Oud Wood oil. Too strong. Very thick. Still there long after washing this off in the evening. Will need to come up with a better plan for using this.
Damage = none

Getting the hang of the Red Tip. It needs a lighter touch, definitely different to the Rocket HD which can liberally be used with more pressure
