    1. Stirling Bar Rum ASL

    2. Pure Oud Wood Oil: too strong to use on its own I think. Very thick, similar to car oil

Two very different things, very different scent profiles

    Interesting heady mix

  7. Great set up Chris...I have a few Ard Al Zaafaran EDP's which I like very much. My first introduction to them was Oud 24 Hours / عود ٢٤ ساعة by Ard Al Zaafaran / ارض الزعفران التجارية (Eau de Parfum) & Perfume Facts (parfumo.com)
which I've had for few years now. I use it in very small quantities..This is potent stuff! two squirts to the pulse points will last for a long time. That's the beauty of EDP's. My second Ard Al Zaafaran is Dirham Oud by Ard Al Zaafaran / ارض الزعفران التجارية » Reviews & Perfume Facts (parfumo.com) another very long lasting EDP near the same in longevity as Oud 24Hours, but more sweet/spice very nice indeed out of the two, this is the one I prefer. Enjoy your Easter.

    Good morning.

    Shavette Shave #539
    Parker SRB
Suneko Amorphous Diamond 1/2 DE Blade (4)
    Hembree-Maggard Timberwolf Synthetic Brush
Angora Soaps Midnight Lavender SS and AS Stirling Alum Block
    Beard Growth: 38 hrs

I didn't shave yesterday so I needed to do so this morning. I don't want to go out looking like a hobo. Lol! Anyway, I went with my other shavette loaded with the Suneko blade. The blade is very sharp. On it'd fourth use, I only needed 2 passes without touchups for an error-free BBS shave. That's impressive.
I went with Angora Soaps Midnight Lavender because it's easy to lather and the scent is awesome. As I have mentioned many times, Angora Soaps is no longer available :(.
    Here's my lather:

The alum feedback was slight. Splashed on that glorious matching aftershave and I am ready for today. Take care.

  17. Today was the best mail delivery I have had for this hobby. I received my very first artisan shaving bowl. SharpShaver is the company.

I also received a nice haul from a fellow wetshaver who was given a mess load of brushes, razors and blades from another wetshaver's estate. He asked me to keep the benefactors anonymous. He was very generous to me. Some of the stuff I will piff to someone from my church who expressed interest in wetshaving. I am planning on giving him one of the safety razors, a brush and some blades. Here is what I received:
