Razor : Yaqi Excalibur SE 50mm AC type with a Yaqi Milano 316SSP handle. Mfg 2021>, tame mid range. Simple clamping system with small head parts. I prefer to assemble on a wash cloth in case I drop a part. I seem to get nice results with this affordable razor head, Yaqi Romulus is slightly better for machining and finish IMO, had a close comfortable shave this morning.
Blade : Kai Captain titian mild (5) Sharp and smooth with reasonable longevity when using the Excalibur.
Soap : Speick stick. Nice mild herbal scented with lavender + excellent lather qualities. For a mass produced soap it works well.
Brush : Yaqi " Ferrari" 24mm bleached boar bristle. Excellent lather generator, soft split end boar bristles hairs, nice splay scrubber + great lather painter. Works well and great boar brush, I bought it when it was on a damaged knot sale, lots of broken hairs but after that it is excellent IMO.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Ach Brito Lavanda with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : Dial 9.jpg or CCS,DFS,BbS + no irritation + no weepers=[IMG] Had a close comfortable shave this morning with my excellent shave with my Yaqi Excalibur SE razor with a Kai Titian mild blade.

Thanks for your post. I have a Maggard 3VA that I haven't used in years. You've inspired me to pull it out of retirement and pick a handle and blade for it.

    Menthol Monday's Cold Water Shave

    Cold Water Rinse
    Eskimo Tuxedo Shave Soap
    Jayaruh #434 Synthetic
    Gillette 1905 Double Ring
    Astra SP
    CWR
    Osage Rub

The Eskimo Tuxedo Shave Soap lathered well with the Jayaruh #434 Synthetic Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Gillette 1905 Double Ringr Razor and an Astra SP blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Osage Rub. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Maggard V3A with MR11 handle (I just love this head & handle combo, solid yet highly maneuverable).

Gillette Silver Blue (1). I never used them before, Astra SS and Personna Crystal were giving me irritation and scared me away from non-platinum coated stainless blades. It was actually a very comfortable, close and smooth shave. Now I am curious to how they will perform in subsequent shaves. I have too many blades as it is…

Shave of the DAY for 4/8/2024

    KCG razor
    Suneko blade
    FS Silver Tip brush
    Kent SS
    Osage Rub/Witch Hazel w/aloe
    Various A/S

Thought I'd try a badger brush since I've been using synthetics for the majority of my shaves. I'm really out of practice cuz the lather this morning wasn't great. Adequate but not great. The KCG razor is pretty mild for me giving just OK results. I'll be changing razor/brush tomorrow so stay tuned. Now go enjoy your day folks.
