    Another great shave today. Very happy. One thing I really like about this soap is how moist is stays with water application. Some just dry back up. Not this. There must be other soaps I have that are this way-can't think of one right now. Nicely done all over. No issues, although at times I thought I could feel a bump, but survived. On the jawline, I combine my "Ice-chip" routine with going AcrossTG. Someone here said I am taking chances when I do the Ice-Chip" persuasion, and he's right, but I always do it careful enough to avoid problems. Nice finish from the Russian Leather A.S. Super Duper Outstanding.

    I've been shaving pretty much daily since I began wet shaving, even though I don't always feel I need to. So I'm going to take a day off today and get a little real growth going. I want to see how my shaves go with some real stubble.

    But man, I'm going to miss that BBF tonight!:(:p

    It's always a good thing to give the face a rest from shaving once in a while.

    Yeah, I'm sure you're correct, but I'm a newbie that just discovered this whole new world. So I'm still in the honeymoon stage and look forward to a good shave everyday!:)

    Greetings,

    Early morning shave,

    A smooth comfortable performance from the Parker 89R to finish my shaving week off wonderfully.

    The Erasmic shave cream is another inexpensive shaving cream that doesn't have much of a scent, but makes up for it's performance and post shave feel.

    A comfortable 2 pass + pick ups silky smooth shave with no errors to report.

    Finishing the shave off with a few small dollops of Aloe Vera Cooling Gel.

    My face is feeling cool smooth & smelling divine.;)

    Keep safe, and enjoy your day ladies & gentlemen.:cool:

    Days growth = 1

    Prep = 3 x HOT water soak
    Preshave = TOBS Jermyn Street
    Cream/Soap = Sterling Agar
    Brush = Omega 10049
    Bowl = Timeless
    Razor = Slim I4 on @5
    Blade = Shark Superior Chrome (4)!
    Passes = 2
    Post = Usual CWR, Alum, CWR, Thayers
    ASL = Clubman Pinaud
    Scent = Red Musk
    Damage = none, but it felt a bit rough on day 4 of this blade. Hence no buffing or clean ups

    Still, a very acceptable work-day shave, with no damage, always a plus

    Days growth = 1

    Revisiting the same setup as the 9th and 10th and 11th

    Prep = 3 x HOT water soak
    Cream/Soap = Tabac shave stick, bloomed the top of the stick first, this helped with lather application to the wet face
    Brush = Simpson Chubby 2
    Bowl = Face Lathering
    Razor = Merkur 37C
    Blade = Astra Superior stainless (1)
    Passes = 2 +
    Post = Usual CWR, Alum, CWR, Thayers
    Aftercare = Tabac Balm followed by ASL

    Damage = Minor scrape lower left chin

    The 37C is a nice razor but keeps getting clogged with the Tabac
    This tends to prevent the blade getting close access to the stubble, more pressure needed etc
    The Chubby 2 is also nice but tends to hold on to the lather a bit more than I would like. Adding more water with each pass just meant more dripping, don’t like lather dripping all over the place

    No desire to push the boundary with buffing or touch ups today. After many consecutive shave days it might be time to skip a day again

    Have a great Thursday everyone

    A fine Throwback Thursday shave this morning, but I could have done a bit better. It all happened at North Porcupine(area just under the nostrils). I got the sides off well enough, but at the same time something inside told me "Something bad's gunna happen, BUDDEH!". It was a Knick along the right side. Painless, but somehow it showed up. Everywhere else was a success, but just that one area with the Knick. Great job at the Loading Dock-actually, I didn't think I'd get so much soap on the brush as I did, since I'm nearing the end of the puck. 2 passes. Jeeves Bay Rum has been a great soap. I think I got a little too much of the Stephan Bay Rum A.S. on. Will be more careful with that tomorrow. Super Duper Outstanding.

    Good morning.

    Shavette Shave #543
    Parker SRB
    Suneko 1/2 DE Blade (5)
    Hembree/ Maggard Timberwolf Brush
    Stirling Spice SS and AS
    Stirling Alum Block
    Beard Growth: 24 hrs

    I was in the mood for a shavette shave this morning with my Parker Shavette. Now, I was given another one that I will eventually give away and can't wait to do so. In any event, my razor is loaded with a Suneko blade and it is still going strong. I picked the Stirling Spice set because it's a dreary LI day so I needed a little pick me up. Here's my lather:

    20240418_094504.jpg

    Three passes gave me a very close, comfortable shave without any appearance of blood. The alum feedback was negligible. Witch hazel was applied and the matching aftershave followed. I am very happy with this shave. Take care.
