    Good going Paul. Can (almost) never have too much Bay Rum

    Thanks Joe

    Thanks Gary

    That's classy, did you tell us about the bowl? I can't remember, looks kind of deep and wide

    Thanks Charlie, Hi Charlie. No worries, seen your posts around too. Slow learners unite! I am sure you're not, but anyway I appreciate the tips. Yep, I guess I still haven't dialled in the Tabac shave stick. The Tabac puck is much easier for me, as I mostly bowl lather and enjoy the Tabac in the tub, but it's time to try different things. I think the Chubby 2 might not be the best brush for this shave stick, but that's my excuse. Anyway I will try some different brushes with the Tabac stick and find one that allows me to add more water to the lather. I find water and lather leaking down my arms a bit off-putting while shaving Lol!

    Skin stretching: yep, for me that is a must. Usually in my last pass and/or touch ups ATG. Else I get nowhere near close enough for my liking. No point in shaving if you get close enough!

    Thanks for the input!

    Thanks Joe, loving the variations of hardware and software and finding the sweetspots.

    Thanks Joe

    Oh, thanks again Joe!

    Cool shave Joe, I see you face and headshave at different times of day. Double the shaving fun!

    I will hold to my hair for the moment. Off to get another haircut tomorrow but at my age it never does much good! I begin to see why some guys go the cue ball route, but I don't think would would go down too well in the home front!

    Days growth = 1

    Time to change things up a bit

    Prep = HOT water soak x 3
    Preshave = TOBS Jermyn Street
    Cream/Soap = TOBS Oud
    Brush = Semogue Owner’s Club 1032 finest badger
    Bowl = Timeless
    Razor = 1963 Adjustable Gillette Slim I4 , @5 then @6
    Blade = Astra SS (2)
    Passes = 2 +
    Post = Usual CWR, Alum, rinse, pat dry, Thayers,
    ASL = Proraso Barbe Dure with 3 drops of Oud Wood, provided excellent skin protection, no balm needed
    Scent = Red musk EdP, lasted the whole day (Musk, Tobacco, Cinnamon, Pepper)

    Score = 9++

    Damage = No damage today

    Thoughts = superb lather today with this brush, seems a good combination with the TOBS cream
    The Slim @5 did a really efficient job
    No clogging of the razor with this lather!
    I opted to try the Slim @6 and this did well, although some more care was needed with a light touch and riding the cap especially in my more tricky areas. Still, managed ATG upper and lower lip

    Easy clean, wonderful work shave

    Smooth, fragrant and very presentable

    Hope you all have a super Friday!

    Thanks Chris. In my early wetshaving days, I didn't headshave and faceshave in one session. I would either split the session like I did yesterday or headshave on a non- faceshave day because I wasn't faceshaving every day. It's only in the last 2 years that I face and headshave in the same session. However, I occasionally will go back to my old routine.

    Since I am using the same setup as last night's headshave, I decided to use the same pic because I am doing a facelather instead of a bowl lather. I only needed a 2 pass shave to get an error-free BBS shave.
    I has some alum feedback but it wasn't that bad. Ended with the witch hazel and matching aftershave application. Take care.

    A winner of a shave this morning(4-19), with the same arsenal as yesterday. Well, MOST of the same-brush was different(Stoylin Mid-sized "No-Name" synthetic). Clean and clear all around. My shaves have improved over the past week or so , with one theme in mind-EASY DOES IT. Zeroes across the board on cuts, Knicks, Polka-dots. 2 passes(although I loaded the brush more before the second). The Stephan Bay Rum A.S. was a great way to close out. As Outstanding As It Gets.

    Nice job, Paul. Good work at the Loading Dock. Cactus Nation is nowhere to be found, and you are ready for the gals at The Piggly Wiggly.

    Well, right.....I didn't mention Cactus, but I'm doing better there. The Northern tip of CN is where I can use some improvement though(just south of the jawline). Thanks, and I'll be at PW tomorrow. Not warm enough for the shirts, but it will be before long.

    Friday, April 19

    So I had 2.5 days of growth, which gave me some stubble, but really not to bad. I expected more, but maybe my Fatip shave last time out was just really that good.

    I went back to the Schick Krona for today's shave because that's what I've been working with most of this month, so trying to stay with the theme.:)

    Great shave again! 4 out of 5. Very comfortable. Hot shower, put on a little pre shave and some Proraso shave cream put on with a Sekine brush (ever hear of that one?), and off I went. A little alum block and Old Spice and done. My skill is definitely improving. Moving a bit faster, going 2 passes with a little touchup, resulting in a BBS shave.

    Oh, and I washed my Krona down with some Dawn dish detergent and toothbrush, and wow, great results! It really shines and it looks brand new. Saw that truck on Razor Emporium vid

    Rating: 5 / 5

    Razor: C-Mon Special 6/8”
    Brush: JTSpartan Boar 24 mm
    Pre-Shave: Pears Transparent Soap
    Lather: Tim’s Soap Busta’s Blend
    Aftershave: Declaration Grooming/Chatillon Lux La Petite Prairie
    Additional Care:
    Omega Alum
    Dickenson’s Original Witch Hazel
    Stirling Unscented Glacial Balm

    The final day of the planned 4 straight shave with the Tim’s Soap. I had decided for the month of April to accelerate the den reduction of designated soaps in the Northern den by shave with the same soap Tuesday through Friday. I knocked off about 8 grams of this soap this week, with 57 grams remaining.

    once again I was rewarded with a luxurious lather with a sufficient amount for a head shave if I had the desire to do so. You know Joe, @Trigger, before you encouraged me, you are aware how much the missus dislikes the Uncle Fester look and feel.

    I did my usual three passes to super smoothness. Additionally, I was rewarded with another one of those ten minute delayed weepers. No big deal.

    Hey Jason, @jtspartan, are you ready for hopefully another 1994 final? Good luck to your Canucks unless of course they meet the Blueshirts.

    Have a great day gentlemen.
