The other day my barbarette cut off a lot of the former, but I'd like to think I still have the latter. Ahhh, one outta two ain't bad.

April 19, 2024 Cobra Classic Feather Pro Alpha Outlaw Stirling Glacial Citron Shave Soap & Aftershave Friday at last. Early morning shave with an evening post. I jinxed myself. The "Snake" got me this morning when I was not paying attention. Take care and have a great day.
This weeks theme was Koraat straight razors. I am closing in on finishing the tub of Castle Forbes. I think it should wrap up next week. While spring has spun in Seoul we have getting a lot air polutions from our neighbors to the west. In addition to the normal micro dust (air pollution) we get when the winds blow west to east we are also getting the yellow dust from Gobi Desert.
April 20, 2024 Cobra Classic Feather Pro Simpson CH2 Synthetic Stirling Glacial Citron Shave Soap & Aftershave Happy Saturday Everyone. I spend several hours yesterday and all day today pressure washing my walkway and driveway. My back is killing me. The glacial soap and aftershave were welcome after the heat. Take care and have a great day.
April 21 Bigelow-Parkin Co. Folding Razor Feather MrEE Bead Blasted Red Anodized Aluminum Danger handle w/30 mm Maggard's SHD two-band fan knot Proraso Shaving Cream (3017 target) Alum AHC Only for Man Toner and Lotion Dehn El Oud Malaki Swiss Arabian EDP I shaved (mostly) daily with my Gillette Aristocrat OC (1934-35) from April 1-20. It is a fun razor to use, very intuitive, quite the looker, but maybe a tad less efficient than my Gillette NEW razors. It's a keeper, mos def. I knocked out a bottle of Thayer's WH, an alum block (got 'er down to a piece too small to use), and made a pretty good dent in my Proraso Shaving Cream. I still have a ways to go on the Proraso as I started with ~1.5 tubes that absolutely filled an empty shave soap container. I can't say enough good things about my Aesop bowl, compliments of @Primotenore. Taking a couple of extra minutes to properly hydrate my lather has resulted in closer, more comfortable shaves. I consider it my most recent game changer. I continue to use my first Oud sample, also compliments of @Primotenore, Dehn El Oud Malaki Swiss Arabian EDP. It took some getting used to, but I like it. I've got three other Oud samples to use after this one, so I'll be experimenting for awhile. It has been fun so far. Next up is my Bigelow-Parkin Co. Folding Razor. It was a $5 Minnesota antique store find, and it came with an ancient Gillette blade still loaded in it. Based on its condition, I'd say the razor was used just a few times. It cleaned up real purty. The plating is in good shape and seems substantial. The build quality is very nice as well. I expect it to shave well once I get used to the grip. Since it is my smallest razor, I decided to pair it with my largest brush which has a 30 mm two-band knot. Evan crafted this beastly, one-of-a-kind Danger handle for me. I've been using the brush for the past few days, and it goes after Proraso like I go after Rocky Road ice cream. It basically exceeds expectations at the Loading Dock, and so far, I haven't dropped it and broken either a floor tile or a toe. This will be my setup for the next few days. I continue to enjoy following your 3017's. At current rates of consumption, I'm genuinely concerned that we're all gonna run out of shave soap in the next few decades. I hope your weekend is going great. We're having some fantastic weather here in my neck o' the woods.
The Cobra is a real eye-catcher, Clint. It sounds like you had a full day yesterday. Take it easy today, and give your back some rest.
Dark boar hairs gives the brush character, Jason. Joseph is simply jealous because he hasn't had dark hair on his dome for a few decades...er...years. Note to self: don't mention soap granules and glue dots on blades.
Thank you Charlie. I think the Cobra is a very cool looking razor as well. The pressure washing needed to be done. I will wash the house another weekend. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
