    Greetings,

    (Face & Head Shave)

A new shave set up to start the weekend. It's been some time since I last used the Ming Shi 2000s Futur clone. "Wow" what an incredibly comfortable close efficient shave.!!! Both my face & head are error-free BBS dolphin smooth. The Dorco Prime Platinum pairs with the razor superbly. This is the best combined face & head shave I've had with the Ming Shi 2000s Futur clone to date.

The Ming Shi 2000s Futur clone alone, like most of my more assertive razor's has vastly improved my technique and shaving confidence multitude.

Another close comfortable combined face & head shave with no errors to report.

Finishing the shave off with a few small squirts of Milton Lloyd Essentials No 19 Essentials EdT to the pulse points.

My face & precious swede are feeling smooth and smelling divine.;)

Stay safe, and enjoy the start of the weekend ladies & gentlemen.

A bit of a rough shave this morning. A long cut at the right side jawline and a small one just off the lower lip, also right side. Fine job at the cheeks&sideburns, as well as N. Porcupine and most of Cactus Nation otherwise. Not sure what caused all this, but tomorrow I'll do a better job rinsing the brush before bringing it into the soap. The madness happened after the first pass, second led to a better job. A little too much New Spice A.S. came out-must improve on that persuasion, too. Most Mediocre.

My Bigelow-Parkin Co. Folding Razor was a $5 Minnesota antique store find, and it came with an ancient Gillette blade still loaded in it. Based on its condition, I'd say the razor was used just a few times. It cleaned up real purty. The plating is in good shape and seems substantial. The build quality is very nice as well. I expect Cactus Nation to be a distant memory once I get used to the grip.

Since it is my smallest razor, I decided to pair it with my largest brush which has a 30 mm two-band knot. Evan crafted this beastly, one-of-a-kind Danger handle for me. I've been using the brush for the past few days, and it goes after Proraso like I go after Rocky Road ice cream. It basically exceeds expectations at the Loading Dock, and so far, I haven't dropped it and broken either a floor tile or a toe.

This will be my setup for the next few days. I post mainly on the 3017 thread these days, as I'm focused on using up some of my stuff.

I hope your weekend is going great. We're having some fantastic weather here in my neck o' the woods.

That's certainly a different razor Charlie. I suspect you place your thumb and index finger in the holes to grip the razor and then shave like it's a regular safety razor.

Thanks Joe. That's how I plan to grip the razor. I will make sure my fingers are dry, and I'll take things slow and easy until I get the hang of it. I plan to use it exclusively for the next few weeks (I'm a focus guy at heart) in order to develop some proficiency with it.

I hope you're having a great weekend, Joe.

I am. Last night was Bible study. Tonight is game night at the church. Tomorrow, I hope to be meeting a brother in Christ for lunch because he will be moving to W. Virginia and then service tomorrow night. Now, back to our regularly scheduled program.
