    SE Shave # 381

    Rating: 5 / 5

Razor: PAA Injector - Type L
    Blade: Personna Injector
    Brush: RazoRock Plissoft Monster 26mm
Pre-Shave: Pears Soap - Mint Extract
    Lather: Arko
    Aftershave: Floïd The Genuine
    Additional Care:
    Maggards Alum
    Nivea Sensitive Balm
    Thayer’s Witch Hazel - Original

Very nice Arko shave which resulted in an exceptionally close shave . The lather is slick, however, I do feel a drying effect on the skin. This definitely would not be a candidate for multiple days of use.

First Southern den shave of this trip. I am definitely satisfied with the end result of these three passes. The injector razor performed well.
Hope you all have a great day.

Super Sunday shave Barry. I have heard that LaToja doesn't smell that great. However, it really doesn't matter since I will not be able to try it.

Terrific shave Chris. Slim Adjustable is a fine vintage razor. Mine does a great job, but I need to press down on the doors when I tighten them, otherwise one of them buckles up to expose the blade.

Three passes gave me a nice, close comfortable shave. Did get a weep on my chin, but the alum did its work. The soap is old because it's hard and flakey, but it provided a nice lather. Here's my lather:

Had some alum feedback on the neck, but that was all. Splashed on the witch hazel and the matching aftershave and I am ready to greet the world. Take care.

Thank you Joe. The La Toja stick to my nose has a Dove soap- baby powder scent, not everyone's cup of tea granted, its a vegatable based soap & provides a good lather with a equal post shave.I like it, but as always opinions are very subjective. Enjoy your Sunday my friend.

A much better shave this morning than that of yesterday. Only one difference from yesterday's tools, and that was the

    Brush-Large Blue No-Name Synthetic

Sometimes I break off from the routine I'm working on, which is to go softer. That happened yesterday. Not today. As the shave progressed, I just KNEW there weren't going to be any mistakes. Nice work at the loading dock. Good spreading action across the face and neck. Not GREAT(like the video pros), but it worked for me. Zero cuts, Knicks, Polka-dots. When I say "video pros" we know that I am not referring to the kid doing Williams soap and saying "I really don't like this soap". A little less New Spice aftershave, but still more than I like. I'll never know if the Shulton brand had a smaller pour-spout. Shux. (well, I should say I FORGOT if it did, as I used Shulton a lot when I was much younger). Anyway...As Outstanding As It Gets for this morning......quite the change from 24 hours earlier.

    Sunday Morning Shave

    Hot shower

    Razor - Schick Krona
    Blade - Lord
Pre shave - Razor Emporium bar soap
Brush - Art of Shaving boar
    Lather - Preraso tube sandalwood

    Aftershave

    Cold water splash
    Alom block
    Aftershave Noble Otter BarrBarr

    Conclusion

The Schick Krona continues to impress. Took down two days of growth with ease and comfort. It gives a subtle, non-aggresive shave, but it's fairly efficient at the same time. The Lord blade paired up nicely and left zero irritation or cuts. Virtually no sting from the alom block. Did two passes and a little neck touch up, and BBF results. The Noble Otter BarrBarr aftershave is like a subtle, but richer Old Spice, if that makes sense. I really like it.

    4.0 of 5 shave!

    Have a great Sunday fellas!:eatdrink013:

Excellent shave Jim. I have never tried any of the Noble Otter soaps, but I believe the Barr Barr is their nicest scent so I am assuming that it is true with the aftershave. Btw, you can't go wrong with Proraso.

Thank you Chris. Whenever I use Stoylin bodywash for a shave prep, I hate to mess up.

I just purchased Noble Otters Lone Star as well. Nice, but not as nice as the BarrBarr IMHO. And Proraso has been my go-to. I'll be branching out into other creams soon though, just because!:p

By-the-way, the name is Jim. No worries, I'm still a bit of a newbie here!:D
