Thanks Jim. It is a fun razor to use. It's not nearly as dangerous or apt to cause trouble as those two Joe's you live nearby. ;)

I discovered it in antique store. It was in a box alongside a NOS (Gem or similar) razor. The whole deal was $20, and I think the owner thought it went with the other razor. I offered him $5 for just the folding razor. He smiled and thought I was nuts for paying that much for it. I am nuts, so he was right. :)

I am really glad to see you here with the gents on the 30 Day thread. Have fun!

Lol! Yeah, those two Joes are a real handful. I don't want to give them my address!;)

Thanks for the welcome. It's good to be here. I think this might be the most active thread on the forum. I don't know your name though, sorry.

It's amazing what you can find for almost nothing in antique stores. You can't get a slice of pizza and soda for 5 bucks anymore, so I'd say you got a great deal!

    Enjoy that cool razor!

Looks like you pulled out the fancy stuff for Sunday, Gary. I am tempted to get one of those copper shave bowls. They are super cool. Hope your Sunday is going well.

Hey Jim. My name is Charlie. I live in Kentucky, so I am the resident hillbilly shaver.

Good idea regarding not sharing your address with those aforementioned characters. Otherwise, they may show up with an offer you can't refuse. ;)

I'm fairly well set on razors, but I can't pass up an antique store without looking. No telling what you might find. These little folding razors are somewhat common on eBay, but $5 was a great price.

Given it is time for the hockey playoffs traditionally it would be no shaving until your team is eliminated. Instead, there will be no buzzing of the dome.

Excellent Bigelow-Parkin razor Charlie. I was PIFd one by Dave, @Dave in KY, a couple years back. It is in my travel bag which I will use later this week. Hope all is well with you and Kathy.

Thanks Joe. You have a nice travel razor, for sure. All is good with Kathy and me. She continues in deep remission, and her health is very good. We volunteer, travel, and have more than our share of fun. Likewise, I hope you and your family are well and that you are enjoying retirement.

Do you have a favorite location in Florida? We enjoy the area around Pensacola and were there for a few weeks this winter.

Yes, it was another shave session. Lol!
I did my headshave that was separate from my morning face shave. I am doing it because I am trying to Fitzgerald this soap by just using it for headshaves. Here's my lather:

    20240421_213736.jpg

Did three passes plus touchups for an error-free cueball smooth result. Did have some slight alum feedback, but that was fine. Splashed on the witch hazel and AV Ice Blue aftershave to seal the deal. Take care.
