that looks 1957 0r older..date code?

1954 -7 0n left,note crimp location.1958 plus tv special to 1966 on right.`1960 ish to 66 don't have lines on twist knob.

 

You're right ... I posted the wrong pic.
That's my '57 (C1), not my '60 (F3). I don't have them labeled in my photo album so I picked the wrong one. I hadn't noticed that difference before.
But I definitely shaved with the 1960. The '57, unfortunately, has a slight bend in it that renders it, shall we say, less than ideal. It was probably dropped at some point.

 

very cool.wasn't trying to be picky,just for your info only.your 1957 is most likely repairable.if not,thankfully they are plentiful and affordable to replace.

 

I'm sure it is repairable. I was just frustrated, having bought five other vintage Super Speeds, all of which are fantastic, to receive it from a reputable seller I've bought from before only to realize it's a lousy razor. (The misalignment is not terribly noticeable and I don't think he sold it to me knowing it was faulty). The funny thing is it's the most pristine of my vintage Gillettes. But pretty does not a good shave make!

 

In some cases i have found the prettiest or least used to have misalignment issues due to being dropped or damaged early in their life..owner drops it,gets a bad shave,ditches it in it's case and abandons it in a cupboard or other..my OC aristocrat was pristine,but bent,it was an easy adjustment,but was some collectors static display foe decades..
