RzR "Iguetta" Baolai Razor Co.LTD Platinum Edge Chinese Shave#55 Just checking in, on this RZR "Iguetta" torture test. So far, I have had 55 shaves off of this one blade. I did have to take it out of the razor a couple of times, to clean the razor, but I did leave the blade alone. At shave 53, the edge started to decline, just a little. On #55 it wasn't tugging, but the shave did require three passes to get a DFS. Still using the same brush and same soap. I still only rinse the blade/razor with very hot tap water. No wiping of the edge. I have a feeling this blade has only a few more shaves left. Razor- Gillette Fatboy E-1. Replated many years ago. Brush- @oscar11 Special. Synthetic knot Soap- ARKO Aftershave- Vintage Avon Spicy. .
Yes, it is an Oumo flattop boar. I bought a few given how they resembled the original high lofted boars in the 400. It is a decent knot, to be honest. Not as floppy as it looks.

Yes. I find that heavier and longer handles help me with not applying pressure to the razor. Just let the leverage work. And I prefer thicker handles. The original New LC handle isn’t awful, but the short and skinny ball end on post-war Techs is my least favorite handle design.
