    April 30 SOTA

    Good afternoon.

    1968 Gillette Slim Adjustable (5.5 and 7)
Gillette Wilkinson Sword DE Blade (fresh, 2)
    JR #290 Cashmere Brush
Seaforth Sea Spice Lime SS and AS
    Stirling Alum Block
    Personal Care Witch Hazel
    Beard Growth: 21 hrs
    Dome Turf: 3 days.

I didn't purposely plan on doing a head and face shave to end the month, but my normal dual shave schedule made it that way.
I went with the Gillette Slim Adjustable because it really has given me fine shaves with barely a hitch these past 5 yrs. I changed my routine by using setting 5.5 for my initial pass on my head and upped the setting to 7 on my final 2 passes. I kept the 7 setting to do the face shave. Because I had such a close shave from my Engels straight, I just needed two passes. I am glad to say that I am cueball smooth on the dome and BBS on the face and neck without any blood leeching out of my skin.

Seaforth Sea Spice Lime is just flat out slick that just makes shaving a pleasure. The scent is nice. albeit on the mild side. I am not complaining because sometimes you need a mildly scented soap. In years past, I didn't see the benefit of mildly scented soaps, but now I am enlightened for the necessity to have them in my den. Anyway, enough of the ramblings of this old man. Here's my lather:

Didn't get any alum feedback anywhere. Splashed on the witch hazel and matching aftershave to end this nice shave. Take care.

Oh boy...perhaps a little unncessary to do all that, but thanks for the advice. When I say "unncessary", course you're talkinto the World's Most Impatient Man.

Wow, that's a flurry of posts to end the month, hard to keep up!

    Thanks for sharing Asil

See you around in the rest of the Den
By the way that's a neat way to pick your shave gear!

    thanks Joe

Thanks, agreed it's been another interesting month!

    Super acquisition Gary, comments elsewhere

Nice to know I am not the only one. I think I will make a note to only use these with close comb and nice dense lather e.g. Stirling

Thanks Joe, and thanks for hosting another great month

One of my favorite scented creams, but not the slickest, thanks Joe

    Thanks Joe
