Thank you Joe. The La Barbiera shaving soap gave a very acceptable maiden performance.

Greata job this morning, with a soap I haven't used in quite a while-Beau Brummel from Mama Bear's Soaps. Quality tobacco scent. Smooth, so it isn't like you're smoking as you shave. The Stoylin bodywash set me up well, as usual. The soap jumped onto the Razorock brush(Plissoft). Clean and clear shave all around. Zero cuts, Knicks, Polka-dots. The Razorocl Puros A.S. had a rough feeling at the beginning but I knew that was just part of the work of the A.S. Feels nice and soft right now. This one was As Outstanding As It Gets.

Paul, thanks for the kind words. That means the world to me.

The gal that sends me the Scripture art is a friend whose son, Caleb, volunteers with Kathy and me at the children's hospital. He brings his trained dog, Obie, with him. We recently celebrated Caleb and Obie's birthdays. Caleb is amazing, and I always play second fiddle to him when we are volunteering in the same area. Obie is pretty sweet too.

    Bigelow-Parkin Co. Folding Razor
    Feather (3)
Jayaruh # 160 Louisville Slugger handle w/Omega 10098 boar knot
    Proraso Shaving Cream (3017 target)
    Alum
AHC Only for Man Toner and Lotion
Oud Palao Eau de Parfum Diptyque

    SOTD_050424.jpg

This was my 15th consecutive shave with the Bigelow-Parkin travel razor. Feather blades are typically 3 and out. Shaves have all been near-BBS and very comfortable. I've had maybe three polka dots that appeared after the shaves were complete, and one small boo-boo due to operator error (failure to stretch out a section of 62-year old skin prior to dragging blade edge over it). The key to success with this razor, in my opinion, is that I shave more slowly and intentionally with it. Not bad for a century-old razor that set me back a fiver last year.

I'm guessing there are just a handful of guys living today that have put 15 shaves on a Bigelow-Parkin razor. If we ever have a meetup, I'll probably see @JACarbone there. I hope he doesn't want to arm wrestle or challenge me to a one-arm push-up contest. I'd hate to publicly embarrass him. :D

JR 160 is made from hometown bat wood I scored from the Louisville Slugger Museum and Factory. Kathy and I are planning a meetup with @Jayaruh and his Bride soon, and we can't wait to meet them.

The Proraso 3017 continues at a steady pace. I have quite a few more shaves left. That's OK, as I'm a big fan of Proraso products, and I strategically stockpiled the last time we visited the Old Country.

The Oud Palao Eau de Parfum Diptyque was a gift from @Primotenore. This scent is a powerhouse (1 spray is plenty for the day), and I enjoy the combination of Oud, Rose, Wood, and Tobacco. This is Oud sample #2 of 4 from Joseph. I'm also loving the Aesop bowl that Joseph gave me. It has allowed me to better control my lather hydration and is just plain fun to use. I consider it a game-changer in the quality and enjoyment of my shaves...so much so, that I've gone back to daily shaving.

@Keithmax gave me the AHC aftercare products. I use 'em after my shaves and then reapply them at night time after washing my mug. They are top-shelf products made in Korea that are lightly enough scented to use before bed and even in my volunteer work at the hospital.

I hope you all are having a great weekend.

    Good afternoon.
    1959 Gillette Fatboy (7)
    Zorrik DE Blade (4,5)
    MrEE Tuxedo Brush
Stirling Spice SS and AS *EdT
    Stirling Alum Block
    Personal Care Witch Hazel
    Beard Growth: 22 hrs
    Dome Turf: 3 days

Before I begin, I have to apologize because I left my phone in my car and therefore, I don’t have pictures for today's shave.
Anyway, I did a 3 passer on my head and face for a BBS shave all around. I glad to report that there wasn't any blood loss.
Had some alum feedback on my neck, but it was non-existent everywhere else. Finished with the witch hazel and the matching aftershave. * I am going to a singles event this evening so I will be saving the application of the EdT before I arrive. * Take care.
