Repeat shave, same hardware and software as yesterday

Gillette Platinum (3) was still fine, very smooth. Binned, nevertheless

Super smooth shave, no damage

Used a bit less Cella soap today. It’s good stuff, doesn’t dry out during the shave, nice protection to the skin

Wonderful shave Chris. Cella is an excellent soap. It's very slick and easy to lather. My only complaints are that it loses its scent from the tub and it turns yellowish-brown from oxidation. It's still good.

 

A great shave today. I figured I'd have a clean&clear feel all around, with the use of my two Stoylin '"soaps"-Arkadia(in shower)and Sheep Unscented for the shave. Fine on the technique persuasion(no cuts, Knicks, Polka-dots). 2 healthy passes. A little too much on the Yardley A.S.(you know what I've said in the past-Niagra Falls). Will do better on that front tomorrow. Closed out with Millionaire(Paris)cologne. Super Duper Outstanding.

I went with this Parker Stainless Steel shavette. It's my second use and it did a great job. I have to say for a mild blade this Derby is quite efficient. I only needed two passes to get a very nice shave. I thought that I cut myself because I came in a little to steep because I felt a sharp warning. I decided to hit it with the alum, but there wasn't the usual redness so I was glad that there wasn't any leakage. Usually, the alum takes awhile to seal a wound because the blood still appears during its application, but that wasn't so in this situation for this session.
The Music City Suds Lavender has lost most of its scent, but it still produces a nice lather. Here it is:



There wasn't any stinging or zinging from the alum. Splashed on the witch hazel and the matching aftershave to finish. Take care.

Thanks Gary. I have 3 Parker Shavettes. I have an extra black resin handle that I am planning on giving away. I won't use it because I want the eventual recipient to have it almost new when I sanitize it.

Same hardware and software, just cruising with this easy setup

The only minor changes were: fresh Gillette Platinum (1) and a full COLD water shave

I don’t think there is much difference in the result between hot or cold water shave, apart from comfort. Adequate wetting of the whiskers and the addition of some pre shave prep, work equally well with hot or cold shaves

Lovely smoooooth, damage-free start to the day

Hope your shaves will equal or eclipse mine on this fine Wednesday
