Here my Sunday Shave (12.05.2024)


Razor: RazoRock Hawk V3 Standard // Blade: Feather Pro Super // Soap: MSC Tabacchi // Brush: Shavemac Lotus G5C // Aftershave: Alum - Thayers Witch Hazel // Scent: Davidoff Zino

I had an absolutely magnificent shave. With the Kai Captain Titan Mild or the Feather Professionell blades the Hawk has been a razor to love but with the Pro Super the razor has stepped up to a razor for a lonesome island.

There is definitely more bladefeel (exact the right amount to me) and this is waht makes the razor even more thoroughly without loosing it´s buttery smoothness.

The soap is an absolute winner. What a wonderful scent this is. Warm, comfortable and very much enjoyable. So much slickness in it and it´s no problem whipping up the lather in your desired consistency.

2 passes and i was BBS.

Rinsed my face and now the Alum should show how good the shave really was. Absolutely no stinging whatsoever. The Witch Hazel was the Aftershave to go with today. Last but not least Davidoff Zino for the scent. Matched well.

A 10 out of 10

The LaToja Shaving Stick lathered well with the Semogue 1305 boar Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the J.A. Henckels Rapide Lather Catcher Razor and the Henckels Wedge blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Aqua Velva Musk After Shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

SE Sunday SOTD, May 12th 2024

Razor : Yaqi Excalibur SE 50mm with a Milano 316 SSP. Mfg 2021>, tame mid range. Simple clamping system of blade, small head parts make it nimble when shaving. Had a close comfortable shave this morning.
Blade : Schick proline, sharp and smooth with reasonable longevity.
Soap : Yaqi "The Green", very pleasant natural scent that is addictive IMO + excellent lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi "Dandelion" 24mm Cashmere synthetic. Excellent lather generator, heavenly cloud like soft tips, gentle splay scrubber + excellent lather painter.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Yaqi "The Green" with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers= Had a close comfortable shave this morning with my Yaqi Excalibur 50mm with a Schick proline blade.
