    Shavette Shave # 228

    Rating: 5 / 5

    Razor: Dovo Shavette
    Blade: Personna Hair Shaper
Brush: Shore Shave Blue Nebula w/ Paragon 25 mm Boar
    Pre-Shave: Pears Transparent Soap
    Lather: Tim’s Soap Busta’s Blend
    Aftershave: Halston Z - 14
    Additional Care:
    Halston Z - 14 Cologne
    Omega Alum
    Dickenson’s Original Witch Hazel
    Stirling Unscented Glacial Balm

Wonderful Shavette shave this morning. As Joe, @Trigger, would attest, the hair shaper blades are extremely sharp. The blade easily took care of this morning’s growth. The Tim’s Soap delivered a voluminous lather, yes Joe, which provided a nice cushion for the blade to do its work. Additionally, the soap paired nicely with the Halston aftershave.

Hope you all are having a great day.

Wonderful Dovo Shavette Shave Joe. I can get about 20 shaves on that blade. It truly is a great razor/ blade combination.

Insanity is repeatedly doing the same thing and expecting different results. If something is not working for you than change your direction and move on to using something else. This is true for wetshaving. It's not for everyone and some shavers need to realize it. There's no shame in admitting that it is not for you. The shame is doing it for many years and still not realizing that it's not for you. Continually cutting yourself almost every day should make a shaver take notice that it's not for him. It's why electric razors were made.

Fine shave this morning. I got the parts I missed yesterday(mainly down at Cactus Nation). Solid work at the loading dock with the no-name synthetic brush. Once again the brush became a shavesoap magnet. Not sure who gets the most credit here, the brush or the soap. Zero cuts, Knicks, Polka-Dots. 2 passes. During the second, I picked up what I apparently missed at the cheeks. Good for those second passes! Nice work from the Stephan Bay Rum A.S. Closed out with Millionaire cologne. Super Duper Outstanding.

    Good morning.

    Gillette Heritage
Wilkinson Sword DE Blade (5th and final use)
    MrEE LE #10 Cashmere Brush
Angora Soaps Midnight Lavender SS and AS
    Stirling Alum Block
    Personal Care Witch Hazel
    Beard Growth: 24.5 hrs

It's still not nice out on LI so I picked this set to brighten my mood.
Did 3 passes and a minor touchup for an error-free DFS shave. I didn't realize that I had more than a few shaves on this blade and just should have placed a new blade in the razor. This is an unbranded Wilkinson Sword so the lifespan is a lot shorter. Still, I did get a decent shave and I can go out without worrying like I am doing an impersonation of Kelly the Clown.
Angora Soaps Midnight Lavender is just awesome any way you look at it. It's too bad that the company is out of business. Here's my lather:

The alum feedback was non-existent. Finished by splashing on the witch hazel and the glorious matching aftershave. I will grade this shave as a solid B. Tomorrow, I will bring out a traditional straight to face shave and a safety razor for my head shave. Take care.
