Bigelow Shave Cream lathered well with the Jayaruh #119 Synthetic Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Gillette English Flat Bottom NEW Razor and the PolSilver DE Blade blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Mennen Skin Bracer. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
Super Adjustable 109 @5 Astra SP (3) Proraso Green Pinaud Clubman I definitely find the shorter handled version more efficient. I actually compared them side by side and the gaps appear identical at the same settings. So it must all be in the balance and dynamic.
Razor: ‘67 Gillette Superspeed Blade: Astra SP (4) Soap: Arko stick A/S: Mennen Skin Bracer Mild and efficient. I really like Gillette flare tip Superspeeds. Although it could have benefitted more from a sharper razor like Permasharp or a fresh Feather. But Astra SP is “sharp enough”.

Glorious looking razor and case Jim. I can't tell from the pic if it's wood/bakelite, but looks cool anyway.
21 May 2024 Aristocrat, Gillette Platinum, Pura Setola, still with the Agar, lovely thick lather, but drew some blood today
Comparing the Gillette Aristocrat with the Popular. At first sight they have the same design, just the handles are different, the popular is lighter. On closer inspection I think the Aristocrat is a little fatter by a hair or two Quite scary to see close up what we scrape our faces with for our daily shaves!
fine example. and a fine shaver.i really like my 67 m-4,but prefer my 1965 brit made version due to being all brass/nickel.same head, just heavier.these 1960's flare tips were the pinnacle of the non adjustable gillettes imo.
they are the same head, other than the tabs that open the doors on the aristocrat.the dors don't open on the popular unless you spin the razor quickly correct?fine examples with nice cases.
