an early eample will have the gillette logo and " made in usa".that would be a federal set type razor or early 1930s.if it has logo,made in.. and patent #'s it's the reissue 1934 and newer.no pun intended. note the smaller apperature/indent wher the handle seats also. later version with patent #'s and larger indent.

May 21, 2024 Timeless Aluminum Gillette 7 O’clock Black Mr EE #4 Master Soap Creations Frosted Bay Rum Barberry Coast Bay Rum Aftershave Happy Tuesday Everyone! I am feeling a bit off today. I woke up with a breakthrough migraine. I took some meds that seem to be helping some. Honestly the shower and shave seemed to help about as much. So far I am using just under 4.5 grams per shave with this soap. I would really like to finish it before the end of June. Take care and have a great day.
Thank you Charlie. Thank you Joseph. Since I home today, I took a chance and used the Oud EDP you recommended. It is not nearly as striking after yesterday's test. I am finding it dries down to a very pleasant earthy scent akin to vetiver but much darker. Forgive me but I am not very good at describing scents.

My "Oud Boys" will go to work for me for my next 3 shaves. It never occurred to me to compare Oud to Vetiver, but that doesn't mean it's impossibles to do so(how's that for a double-negative @Primotenore? Actually I'd call that a TRIPLE negative).
@Primotenore While the Oud is very strong on application, once it has dried. down the scent is very nice. I took your advise and layered it. I did not have anything rose scented so I used Agua Lavanda which worked out nicely.
