I decided to go with last night's setup for this morning’s shave. The exception was using my Frioder instead of the Schick I-1.
Did 3 passes for an error-free BBS result.
This razor always gives me a high quality shave and it is very enjoyable to use.
The VdH soap always makes a great, slick and creamy lather. Outside of Arko, this is the best soap for very little cost. Of course, this is my humble opinion. Here's my lather:



The alum gave very slight feedback. Splashed on the witch hazel to keep any irritation from appearing and to calm my skin. A liberal dose of the AQ Ice Blue aftershave gave me a refreshed feel to my face and neck. I will grade this shave an A+.

Thanks Chris. Yes, it's one of the perks of headshaving. Either, you can headshave and faceshave at once or headshave later in the day or evening.

 

Very nice shave and setup Chris. A thinner lather is much more hydrated and slicker lather. The caveat is not to make lather too thin that it runs down your face.

I chose to go with the simplicity of the Willams and AV combination. The NYR custom synthetic brush easily whipped up a nice Williams lather. I do doctor up the lather with 5 drops of glycerine plus water. The end result is a very nice lather that is thick as well a slick.

The Genco straight delivered a close and comfortable shave. The post shave alum report was nonexistent. Smelling good with the Spanish AV!

I guess I better clarify my statement. The Stirling Agar appears to be straight up Oud. The other Oud soaps den have a combination of scents mixed with the Oud.

PAA Sangre de Drago - Sandalwood and Oud
Wholly Kaw King of Oud - the captivating scent of oud, notes of bergamot, lemon, clary sage, rose, and pink pepper mingle with angelica, rosewood, and galbanum, creating a multi-layered olfactory experience. Base notes of agarwood (oud), sandalwood, vetiver, patchouli, and amber provide a rich and lingering finish.
Ginger’s Garden British Empire - Crisp citrus, exotic oud, golden amber, rich sandalwood and white musk.
Hoffman’s Shave - Egyptian Musk blended with a Black Oud.
PAA Oud Spice - Top Notes: Orange, Cardamom, Black Pepper, Aldehydes, Sage & Clary Sage.
Middle Notes: Carnation, Geranium, Heliotrope, Cinnamon & Pimento Berry.
Base Notes: Agarwood (Oud), Ambergris, Frankincense, Vanilla, Cedarwood, Musk, Rose, Benzoin & Tonka.
Razorock Stallion - Inspired by the Aqua do Palma Oud - Orange and Calabrian bergamot; middle notes are Agarwood (Oud), Amyris and Coriander; base notes are Leather, Sandalwood, Musk, Cedar and Patchouli.
