    Hi everyone!

I can't believe it's June. It's the month of graduations and of course, Father's Day! Let's not forget the barbecues and the beach and pool parties. For those people that live under the equator, I am thinking snowball fights, ice skating and drinking hot chocolate. However, I wish those of you who are fathers get something nice for your shave den on Father's Day. As always, everyone was mostly on point with your shaves past month. Some of you experimented with different razors, etc. and learned something from it. That's the point of this thread so congratulations are in order.

    Monthly Theme

It's June so the obvious choice would be Edwin Jagger June. I know most of you don't own an Edwin Jagger razor so let me suggest an old standard, Just Shaving in June.
That really is self-explanatory in that you decide to pick your setup and razor anytime you shave. You can change it on every shave or repeat it for a few consecutive shaves. It's your shave so do it your way. If you have a theme in mind then please feel free to share.

Ok, let's continue with the basic tenets of this thread!

I want to welcome all the veterans of the 30 DC and all the newcomers. This thread is for the purposes of improving your shave technique so that you will consistently get great shaves. There are a number of ways to do it. These are suggestions so feel free to do whatever you want in regards to your shave.

    The 30 Day Rule

Take ONE razor, ONE blade, ONE brush, ONE soap/cream and use them EVERYDAY this month. Yes, everyday. But Trigger, I want variety! I know you do, but until you perfect your technique, it makes little sense to constantly change the variables of your shave.

    The Focus

For you out there that are not up to the rigors of the Rule, there is this alternative:
Vary the gear for each shave, save for perhaps one or two elements.
This is a more accessible challenge for the majority of shavers. I like to pick a particular aspect of the shave, be it the lather, a certain blade or a new razor, that needs breaking in, and not change it daily, until I have mastered those tools.

Ok, to keep the thread on a nice even keel, I ask everyone to follow the thread etiquette as listed below:

    1. New Members always welcome. Start anytime.
    2. Old Members always welcome.
    3. Respect everyone.
    4. Refrain from political conversation.

I also want to suggest that we should try to assess our shaves as to why it was good or why it was not up to your standards and express these reasons in your comments. The spirit of this thread is to improve our shaves and if we share the reasons why a shave was good or bad, then we are giving our experiences to encourage good technique and discourage bad technique so that we have great info to get better shaves. I am not suggesting that we do it for every post, but I think it would make for a healthier thread if we start to do it more than we have in the past years.

Moreover, you don't have to do a rule or a focus. You are free to change your setup on a shave to shave basis.

Finally, I want this thread to continue to be a friendly place. It is ok to disagree because that is how we learn from each other, but let's encourage and respect every member. Yes, even if you think they are off the wall. Let's face it! We all are a little off because of our different Aquisition Disorders. Lol!

    Let's have a group hug!

Also, let's have some awesome June shaves and fellowship.

    Sincerely,

    Joe (Trigger)

    Greetings,

    (Face & Head Shave)

Another new eclectic shave set up to start the weekend & month off in style.

I haven't gave much attention to the Parker InjRzr for quite some time.

The design of the injector razor is wonderful they are solidly built to hold the blade firm & rigid in the razor head with no movement making the shaving experience feel safe comfortable, and smooth with no blade chatter, and very easy to adjust to finding the right shaving angle.

This morning I used the Ach Brito Mogno Shaving Soap Bar like a shave stick rubbing it directly into my stubble then started to build up a lather with my wet brush adding more water to the tips of the brush continued building the lather until i got it to the consistency I like, adding more water to the tips of brush in-between each pass.

Another close comfortable efficient combined face & head shave with no errors to report.

Finishing the shave off with few small dollops of Nivea Men Replenishing PSB.

My face & precious swede are feeling smooth and smelling divine.;)

Stay safe, and enjoy the start of the weekend ladies & gentlemen.

Winner of a shave to begin June. My Bay Rum combo did a nice job. The soap is winding down, but can still give me a few more shaves, I'd say. Jeeves BR has been in my Den for years now. I forgot how long I had it at the Loading Dock with the Jayaruh brush. Clean and clear all over.Goose eggs for cuts, Knicks, Polka-Dots. 2 passes. The Stephan fekt goood-not much scent, as all the ingredients are nicely mixed in together. Stephan's been around-1897 was its opening year. The company's been more famous for its haircare products, but I'm glad they have shaving related items as well. Anyway-As Outstanding As It Gets for this morning's shave.

June 1 SOTA Face and Headshave

    Good afternoon.

    Mühle R102
    Zorrik DE Blade (3,4)
    MrEE LE #10 Cashmere Brush
Music City Suds Lavender and Ever Amen SS and AS
    Stirling Alum Block
    Personal Care Witch Hazel
    Beard Growth: 26 hrs
    Dome Turf: 98 hrs

    20240601_125454.jpg

I wanted to start the month with a head and face shave. Since I haven't shaved my head in a little over 4 days, I went with my Mühle R102 to do the job. Three passes on my neck and dome gave me an error-free BBS shave all around. I took my time to enjoy this session.
I went with the Music City Suds Lavender. It makes a wonderful, voluminous and slick lather which is what was warranted for my heavy dome turf. Here's my lather:

I didn't have any alum feedback. Splashed on the witch hazel and matching aftershave to top this shave. It definitely was an enjoyable experience. Take care.

    Greetings,

    A relaxing Sunday morning shave.

The Monsavon Au Lait as always provided me with a wonderful protective slick lather for the shave leaving an excellent post shave feel.

The Treet Platinum paired up with the Parker 94R wonderfully. I'll be using the Treet Platinum & Dura Sharp (Carbon) blue pack through out the month, as I find both to be exceptionally smooth & efficient with acceptable longevity and have yet to have any QC issues with both blades

A close comfortable 2 pass +pick ups shave with no errors to report.

Finishing the shave off with a few small dollops of Nivea Men Replenishing PSB.

Keep safe and enjoy your Sunday ladies & gentlemen.
