ok I will say that I got close enough on that one to get a score Did you see my question on the case that is maroon top and black bottom Dave? any help on that one? Fuzzy
I was doing a patent search and I came across what looks like the head of the bullet ended micromatic. Pat date 1946
it looks like the green box up there except came with both blade boxes but it has a maroon top and black bottom.. I do not see how you could swap a top out the way they are put on... ever seen one like that? here is the ebay pic from the auction.
Just carved up my head with one, tonight! Didn't do the face, just the scalp. An interesting experiment. I'm shaving the pate for a couple weeks to honor a coworker on chemo. Definitely wanna take it slooooow.
The tops are bradded on. for a better word.. not just a screw. That is why I am thinking it is original. I like it no matter what it is, Fuzzy
yeah... pulled them out to compare. You are right Clog Pruf head. So that would make the bullet even newer?
Ok here we go again, I broke out one of my best looking Micro Matic Clog Pruf's the other day,(Bought it from a member here) and have gotten two great shaves out of it. These things are great folks. They will not replace the Lather catcher or 1912 models as my favorite Gem's.. but they are easy to acquire and built like a tank. The Clog Pruf is a safety bar MM and much easier to run then a Open Comb model. ALthough the OC MM will give great close shaves. I highly recommend anyone who is intrested in the whole SE thing own a Clog Pruf for the rotation. Fuzzy
