Wednesday, June 5 ToBS Oud~~Vie-Long Beehive~~Fatip Lo Storto Originale/Feather~~Nasomatto PardonSo, the Fatip is giving me some weepers---user error, mos def® I am going to use it continuously until I master it. While the shave cream has no oud, the Nasomatto definitely does.
Thanks Joseph. Will do. A friend gave me some Rosewood and Wenge Wood pieces for Jim. We also took a pile of Louisville Slugger bat nubs (end pieces from their lathes) and various other wooden plaques, etc. From what I have read, it takes special skills to work with the Wenge Wood. I am very appreciative of Jim's kindness to make the brush handle for me.

https://jrshaving.blogspot.com/2024/06/jayaruh-451-synthetic.html I selected the brown knot. @Jayaruh had one in one of his brushes last week, and I liked that look. A keen eye will notice that my brush number changed from JR 449 to JR 451. I'm not at liberty to discuss specifics.
June 7, 2024 Gillette Senator Gillette 7 O’clock Omega GT Series Synthetic Master Soap Creations Frosted Bay Rum Ogallala Bay Rum Cologne with Menthol Happy Friday at last! My latest razor acquisition arrived yesterday and I had to give it a go this morning. This is a nickel revamp Gillette Senator from Razor Emporium. I noticed that the picture makes the the top cap look like it has spots or something. This must be a reflection as the razor is fantastic. I knew the razor would look good but it shaves better than I anticipated. Color me impressed. Take care and have a great day everyone.

Friday, June 7 Macduffs Prairie Blooms~~Simpson CH2~~Fatip Lo Storto Originale/Sharp Star~~The Veg I don't know why more people aren't talking about this soap company? This is probably the finest, new artisan soap I have tried in a VERY long time. Prairie Blooms is a Lilac-scented soap and the aroma of fresh lilacs is stunning. The soap base is soft, so scooping/bowl-lathering is recommended. Takes a lot of water and the results are extreme slickness and positively wonderful post-shave. Kudos to this company out of Alberta, Canada.
It is time to get some variety and pick my next 3017 target. PAA Awesome Sauce with their CK-6 formula is one of my favorites, maybe because is reminds me of Proraso. In the beautiful wooden bowl is Stirling Electric Sheep, another favorite of mine. Smiling razor week continues with a 7 layer Damascus from Drew Dick and hammom blade from Ali's Blade and his homage to the famous SK-3. Smiling Saturday featured a smiling Herr and Razor blade, Steam Punk my only soap purchase in eons and one I am very happy with and yes that is Clubman in glass. Alas if only there was Piggly Wiggly in Seoul.
