Wonderful shave and post. I was going to recommend that you clean the lens by wiping it before I saw you mention that you did just that very same thing. Enjoy your weekend John.

    Good evening.

This is a very late night shave. I went with one of my Aust straight razors and the TSD Barbershoppe SS. Three passes for an error-free BBS result. I am just enjoying the TSD shave soap. It provides a very slick, and creamy lather. Here it is:

    20240614_223436.jpg

There was very little alum feedback. Splashed on the witch hazel and the matching aftershave and I must say that I am very pleased with this session. Since this was a very late night shave, I will not be shaving tomorrow. I am reserving a special shave this Sunday. Take care.

    Greetings,

    (Face & Head Shave)

A new eclectic shave set up to start the weekend.

The Kent/MWF as always provided me with a wonderful protective slick lather for the shave leaving an excellent post shave feel...I could easily shave with this shave set up forever, but like everyone else I like variety with my shaves.

Another close comfortable efficient combined face & head shave with no errors to report.

Finishing the shave off with few small dollops of Nivea Men Replenishing PSB.

My face & precious swede are feeling smooth and smelling divine.;)

Stay safe, and enjoy the start of the weekend ladies & gentlemen.

    Thank you, gentlemen!

Yes, I don't know if the wipe on the tiny camera lens with a cloth did it or if the camera needed a chance to get its focussing sorted.

    Great report and photos, Joe.

I understand that Ralf Aust is one of the better modern makers of straights.

    Travel basics

    15 Jun 2024.jpg

    Hot water soak x3
Palmolive cream in a tube, massaged in by hand, then amply face lathered with Razorock plissoft. Nice to use a bigger brush for face lathering, it holds enough for a few passes

Gillette sensor excel, what I used to use. Not bad. Got the job done. Bit light. So still needed some pressure. Not so good around the chin and convex areas, but does get in nice and close near the Junction of upper and lower lip

No damage, but I can see how this can tempt one into a false sense of security

Very nice pic and shave Chris. My state capital is Albany, New York. I didn't know there was an Albany, Australia. Wow, I learned something new today! Thanks for the info, Chris.

Very good shave today, closing out the Proraso Team(you notice I didn't say "Program" like many sports announcers do.). Just closing out for the time being-they will be back quite a lot this summer. 0:40 at the Loading Dock, as I had the Stoylin Pro-Handle 26 mm....kinda big for the small Proraso tub. I'm just glad the brush didn't overpower the tub...came close though. Clean and clear all over. Zero across the board on cuts, Knicks, Polka-dots. That NW side of North Porcupine is getting a bit stubborn on me, but I got it all 2 passes. Happy to have the Proraso Refreshing A.S. to close out the shave itself and the Halston cologne for a good top-off. I think I'll rotate colognes each week. Not too crazy about the Halston but it's OK. As Outstanding As It Gets.

    DE Shave # 537 - Gemini Shave - Busta’s Blend

    Rating: 5 / 5

    Razor: Jacobson FDG
    Blade: Gillette Silver Blue
Brush: Wolf Whiskers 24 mm Maggard Tux Synthetic
    Pre-Shave: Pears Transparent Soap
    Lather: Tim’s Soap Busta’s Blend
Aftershave: Declaration Grooming/Chatillon Lux La Petite Prairie
    Additional Care:
    Omega Alum
    Dickenson’s Original Witch Hazel
    Stirling Unscented Glacial Balm

This beautiful Saturday morning started off with a wonderful DE shave. The razor was made for me as a Father’s Day gift for a friend on one of the FB groups I belong to. It is an excellent razor. Therefore, I thought it was appropriate to use this weekend.

I did my usual three passes with exceptional results.

Hope you all have an enjoyable Saturday.
