Brush: Yaqi 24mm Naples Tuxedo Synthetic.
Bowl Lather.
Bowl: Tesco's Ceramic 'Cosmo' Side Bowl.
Lather: La Barbiera Summer Fruit Shaving Soap.
Blade: Treet Platinum. (D1)
Razor: Parker 87R.

A relaxing Sunday morning Fathers Day shave.

The La Barbiera shaving soap provided a wonderful slick protective lather in a short space of time leaving a great post shave feel.

Non shave day today, travelling home by car

'twas a good chance to try out some travel shave set ups for any future trips. Travelling by car is not a problem, always space for those small extras

However, I am distilling down what might be some bare essentials for weight might be a bigger factor. All part of the fun

I turned 69 today so I treated myself to a special shave today. I brought out Max for my face and neck shave and my 1959 Gillette Fatboy for my headshave. Did 3 passes all around for a BBS result. Did get a small nick on the corner of my mouth, but the alum quickly took care of it because there wasn't any trace of it. Thankfully, I didn't lose any blood on the dome.
I went with the Stirling Spice because I only use it for special occasions. I just like the scent that I want to keep it around for a long time. This soap always produces a nice lather. I decided to make heaps of lather because I wanted the scent to permeate my bathroom and because I was doing a dual shave. Here's my lather:



I did get some alum feedback on the nick and on the back of my head, but it wasn't bad.
Splashed on the witch hazel and the wonderful matching aftershave to end this special shave. I am off to my favorite bagel store for a bacon and egg sandwich. Afterwards, I will hit the gym for some cardio and then hit the neighborhood park to just meditate and relax. Later this evening, I will be attending service and then go to my favorite pizza parlor. It's a simple way to spend my special day. Take care.
