    June 25 SOTA Headshave

    Good afternoon.

    Schick G-2 Injector
    Schick Injector Blade (3)
    JR #290 Cashmere Brush
    TSD Orange SS and AS
    Stirling Alum Block
    Personal Care Witch Hazel
    Dome Turf: 3 days

I don't need a face shave so I will hold off until tomorrow morning. However, a head shave was definitely needed. I picked out the Schick G-2 for this assignment.
This is the 2nd time that I have used this razor. The first time was when I did a face and a head shave. That's why it will be the Schick blade's 3rd use.
I only needed 2 passes plus touch ups for a BBS shave. Did get a weep on my right side of my noggin, but the alum took care of it just like white-out.
I went for the TSD Orange with lanolin soap because Barry @palmolivefox inspired me to do so with his recent shave. Beside, now that I got this soap dialed in, it produces a fine lather. Here it is:

Didn't get any alum feedback. Witch hazel and the matching aftershave were splashed on the dome to end this session. Take care.

Same setup, except for Hot water prep and T&H No 10 as preshave

    2++ passes

DFS all over, some BBS, no damage. Despite the Kai the Flare Tip allows for fair amount of pressure in the less risky parts of the face and neck. Might take the Kai to day 3, undecided about which razor

Scent: Black Oud to accompany me throughout the work day

    Have a good one!

Agreed, binned after 2nd day, doesn't bode well for the rest of the tuck, but I will keep at it

    Great result Joe!

Thanks Chris. I usuually shave on autopilot and that's when an oops can strike for me. Fortunately, it's a rare occurrence, but stuff happens. It's all part of the shave journey.

Thank you Joe, it's up there. I have others haven't tried yet, but yes I like these. Also because there are no glue/wax dots to mess with and there is no printing or etching on the blades, nice and minimalistic

Autopilot! I am not there yet, minor event in the scheme of things!

    June 26 SOTD

    Good morning.

    1955 Gillette RedTip
    Wilkinson Sword DE Blade (fresh)
    Barbury Synthetic Brush
Pedro Fiasco's Limoncello SS and AS
    TSD M Bomb
    Stirling Alum Block
    Personal Care Witch Hazel
    Beard Growth: 37 hrs

    20240626_093723.jpg

I went with my RedTip today. It's really give a nice shave. It is considered the most aggressive of the colored trio, but I don't find aggressive. Three passes for an error-free BBS shave. I went with the Limoncello and added the TSD bomb. The TSD bomb is a menthol additive. I just gave it a couple of shots in the lather. I am a meth head that likes the freeze your face off Chiseled Face Cryogen soap. However, I only added a few drops of the M Bomb and I got a nice mild cool sensation during the entire shave and that's fine by me. I did a 4th non shaving lather pass to continue to enjoy the menthol sensation.
    Here's my lather:

    20240626_094449.jpg

I did have some alum feedback. Splashed on the witch hazel and the matching aftershave and I am good to go. Take care.
