This is all your fault, Charlie... @chazt Major score. Friend from the former TSN sold me this brand new jar for $48.00 shipped.
I’m also expecting a loaded box of goodies from SoCal tomorrow it seems. And just this morning I ordered a hundred Viking’s Sword blades from a joint in UK. I thought they’d long ago disappeared from the marketplace, but a friend over at ATG gave me the 411 down low. I’m now in the know.
Thank you I was smitten by it when I first saw it and resisted for a full three days when I took the plunge. Still on the look out for a Chubby, Rover and a Milk Churn, but I'm fussy and prefer them with character. I picked up a 57 that needed to be re-knotted; fortunately I also picked up a 58 that the handle was smashed. Both Best Badger other than increasing the hole size to receive the 58s knot it was a smooth transition. Lathers beautifully. So what if I have a 57 with an identity crisis.
A group of vintage brushes ....... I'll probably sell off. There's Simpson M5 with character. Not sure what the black one is.
My first Caswell Massey purchase. It'll be Jockey Club bath soap(but I'll just use it at the sink as a hand-soap). This was a favorite of a former U.S. President. In fact, 3 Presidents are listed as having enjoyed Caswell Massey products.
Had to return it. The loft was 46mm NOT 63mm. Must have been a factory "second", because it was NOS. Looked like a freak of nature. Seller "reluctantly" accepted my return request. Indeed, the seller, who had 10 of these to sell, deceptively updated his Ebay description to no longer include the knot dimensions. I would avoid this seller. I did however, just score a trio of Shulton stanks at a fantastic price.
