The Proraso Red Sandalwood Shave Soap lathered well with the Jayaruh #224 Synthetic Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the RazoRock Black Hawk Razor and the Feather Professional AC blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Clubman Pinaud Classic Vanilla After Shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

SE SOTD, Friday, July 5th 2024

Razor : Yaqi Romulus 316 SSP + a Yaqi Chippendale 316 SSP handle. Mfg 2023, mild to tame mid range. Excellent machining and finish QC. Small head makes for a nimble shave, very enjoyable razor to use IMO. Had a close comfortable shave this morning.
Blade : Kai Captain titian mild (7) sharp and smooth + excellent longevity in this razor for what ever reason.
Soap : Razorock Irish Countryside, nice scent with excellent lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi "Tailcoats" 24mm synthetic. Excellent lather generator, cloud like soft tips, nice splay scrubber + excellent lather painter.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Razorock Irish Countryside with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBs + no irritation + no weepers= Had a close comfortable shave this morning with my Yaqi Romulus SE razor with a Kai Captain titian mild blade.

Menthol Monday came a little late this week...

Pre-shave: Face brush-washed with VdH Unscented Glycerin Shave Soap
Razor: Gillette Slim Adjustable, setting 4
Blade: Tatra Platinum (3)
Cream: Barbasol Cool Menthol
Brush: RazoRock Snowman
Post-shave: Aqua Velva Ice Blue

Today's shave: Cool and refreshing, this is a classic setup for summer. Had to add a lot of water to the Barbasol to get it just right, and was rewarded with a near-BBS shave. The Tatra blade was buttery smooth throughout A couple of tiny nicks on my chin were handled with ease by the AV. I think I'll stick with the Slim for a while.
