Prep: Warm shower:/Cien Moisture Shower Gel.

Pre:
Cold wet flannel to my face & head.
Cien PURE Fragrance Free Sensitive Bar Soap.
Brush: Anbbas 24mm Tuxedo synthetic.
Bowl Lather.
Bowl: Tesco's Ceramic 'Cosmo' Side Bowl.
Lather: Ingram Menthol Lather Shave Cream.
Blade: Feather Hi Stainless. (D1)
Razor: 1970's Gillette Aluminium Handle Tech S4. (ENG)

(Face & Head Shave) (Shave Cream week)

A new shave set up to start the weekend. Another maiden combined face & head shave with the 70's Gillette tech paired up with the Feather Hi Stainless.

I had all intentions of using a GSB blade, which is a great match but changed my mind at the last minute and used the Feather Hi Stainless instead which was a great choice as it's another great efficient match for this tech. The appearance & weight of the short nimble aluminium handle gives the overall appearance of the razor an almost "toy-like impression" that the razor is a gimmick however, as the saying goes "looks can be deceiving" this is definitely the case with this little workhorse vintage razor fitted with the Feather and using good technique it performed wonderfully.

It's been some time since I last used the Ingram shave cream and forgot how much of a good lather it is with a nice menthol kick.

Another cream that I intent to use in my future shaves.

I'll use the razor & blade duo for all of my shaves this week to get reacquainted to both of them again. A great duo.

Another close comfortable efficient combined face & head shave with no errors to report.

Finishing the shave off with a few small dollops of Bulldog Original Moisturiser.

My face & precious swede are feeling smooth and smelling divine.

Wonderful shave stick shave this morning. The E Barber was the first tub I purchased when I fell down this rabbit hole in 2017. Yes, I had previously wet shaved since my shaving journey began in the mid 70’s but not as consistently as now. Some of the 4 ounce tub of the soap was transferred into the shave stick dispenser seen in the picture. With the tub and stick I have had almost 100 shaves.

Once again I was rewarded with a super close and comfortable three pass shave without any mishaps.

Fine sophisticated goo shave this morning. The Barbasol is nearing its end....more Barbasol to come when this is gone, that's a fact. Clean and clear in most areas-still need to solve NW Cactus(near the Ingrowns). Zero cuts, Knicks, Polka-dots. One pass. Mennen Skin Bracer A.S., followed by One Man Show cologne to close. Face and neck feel warm(from the weather, no doubt), but clean and good smelling. Super Duper Outstanding.

It's a dreary and cloudy day on Long Island so I picked this setup to brighten my morning. Did a flawless three pass shave for a BBS result that would almost pass the cotton ball test. Pedro Fiasco's Limencello is made by Peter Charkalis, who is the owner of Ariana and Evans Soap Co. and is located in Connecticut. The soap makes a creamy, slick lather and the scent stays throughout the shave session. I didn't need much soap to create enough for this shave. Here's my lather:



There was some stinging from the alum, but nothing serious. Applied the witch hazel and the wonderful matching aftershave to finish this fine shave. Take care.
