    July 7 SOTE Headshave

    Good evening.

    Schick I-1
    Pella Injector Blade (6)
    Rockwell Synthetic Brush
Captain's Choice North SS and AS
    Stirling Alum Block
    Personal Care Witch Hazel
    Dome Turf: 2 days

Yes, this is my second shave of the day, but it's a headshave.
Went with this setup because it's easy-to-use. Did 3 passes plus touchups for a cueball result. Did get a weep on my right temple, but not a big deal.
Captain's Choice always performs well. Here's my lather:

Didn't have any alum feedback. Splashed on the witch hazel and the aftershave to end this session.

1 day growth, still smooth from yesterday, decided to shave anyway

Hot water prep, T&H No 10 preshave, T&H Sandalwood

    1958 D3 Gillette TV special, Permasharp (2), Chubby 2
    ASL Old Spice
    Santal Spirit EdT
2 passes with touch ups, adapting to the milder razor, bit more pressure ATG around left corner of mouth than needed, minor weeper, taken care of with cold water

Fine little shaver and fine shave indeed

Might take the Permasharp to day 3 and see what happens

Hope you all had a great Monday

The first of several, I have some catching to do... Hiya Neal

    Thanks Joe, good info there
In that case methinks Neal is being modest about his fuzzy memory!

For Menthol Monday(yes, the Proraso Refreshing qualifies), I had a rough beginning which turned out fine in the end. A minute at the Loading Dock, although that may be a little too long with the small Proraso tub). The spreading of the soap could have been done a little better, I think. That's what I blame my 4 Knicks on(2 each at North and South Porcupine). No issues elsewhere. I'll try to get more soap off the brush and onto my face tomorrow. 2 passes. Better with the second. The aftershave(Proraso Refreshing)felt nice and well-done It helped knock off the Knicks(along with the cold-water rinse). . One Man Show cologne to finish. Pretty Outstanding. I look forward to doing better tomorrow with same(course a different brush).

    July 8 SOTE

    Good evening.

    1955 Gillette RedTip
    Wilkinson Sword DE Blade (2)
    MrEE LE #10 Cashmere Brush
    Barbus Sport Original SC
    Pinaud-Clubman Classic AS (not pictured)
    Stirling Alum Block
    Personal Care Witch Hazel
    Beard Growth: 29 hrs

    20240708_205206.jpg

I wanted a nice easy shave this evening so I chose my Gillette RedTip and the Barbus Shave Cream to tackle my stubble. I must say this razor does a great job mowing down my beard. Moreover, I have to say that the Gillette Wilkinson Sword blades produced in India is my favorite Blade. It is smooth and sharp just the way I like it.
Barbus Sport Shave Cream is a great performer. It readily produces a rich, slick and creamy lather. I used a smooth bowl without raised bumps or lines and still made a great lather. This cream can take water, but if you add a little too much, then you need to tamp down and flatten the lather to get rid of the air bubbles. It may take another 2 minutes if need be.. Here's my lather:

    20240708_205829.jpg

Did 3 error-free passes for a very smooth result. Did get some alum feedback on my neck, but that was ok. Splashed on the witch hazel to calm my skin and followed with the Pinaud-Clubman Classic aftershave. Sorry about not including it in the pic, but stuff happens. Take care.

Unfortunately not all that modest. However, it's beginning to come back to me. I have several ideas currently working their way through my brain on how to un-fuzz things.
