Terrific Tuesday shave Barry. I miss the Faberge Brut. I haven't tried the recent iteration.

Thank you, Joe. Vice versa my friend, I haven't had the pleasure of trying the original Faberge Brut Splash-On Lotion, ASL or Cologne. The Brut Splash- On I normally use after a shower, but occasionally I use it in my post shave routine. The Splash-On provides a good long lasting scent throughout the day. I do prefer to use the Brut ASL as it has a stronger scent with menthol in it's ingredients which the Splash-On lotion doesn't have. For what they both cost and the availability of them both, I recommend you give them both a try out, It'll bring back memories of your youth. Certain fragrances remind of use of many things and give use a sense of scent nostalgia.

Well, shux....an overall fine shave, but one glitch cost me from giving it the highest mark. How many times have I said that? A cut on South Porcupine was the problem-scary one, too. Ahh, it could have been worse. My first pass was so good, I felt like stopping right there, but decided to do the second. That's Proraso for you-forces you to decide whether to stop at first pass or do the second. Proraso A.S. was great, and closed out with One Man Show cologne. Very Outstanding. (I say VERY because the balance of my shave was great, just the one cut was the issue).

Tuesday July 09 (early morning) - Just One July and JM Fraser's July

Prep: Hot face wash with Cetaphil cleansing gel

Razor: Supply 2.0 matte black stainless steel injector w/ SE "nickproof" comb plate / vintage American-made Schick Plus Platinum(?) (3)

    Soap: J.M. Fraser's Shave Cream

    Brush: APShaveCo 24mm SynBad fan

    Lather Bowl: None

    Post: rinse, alum, rinse

Last shave: Wednesday evening - 5.5 days

    The Just One July setup:

That is the same stuff I used for the last two shaves, except I put the ProRaso styptic gel away again unused and also skipped any postshave balm.

The shave cream easily whipped up into a creamy slick face lather with sufficient in the brush for my usual two passes.

I stuck with my changed pass pattern on my neck, going WTG and then XTG instead of starting with an Against the Grain pass. Again, I noticed no real difference in the smoothness of the end result but did notice less irritation on my neck. There was no feedback from the alum at all. I think I will make this a permanent change in my technique.

While the JM Fraser's shave cream has a lemony scent similar to Arko, it has a better postshave feel. I find Arko rather drying on the skin; I have no real need for a moisturizing balm or splash with this product.

Hope the week is going well for everyone.

Finally able to post as I have no WiFi on the ship. Presently, we are on the island of Tortola, with WiFi, for an adventure of snorkeling and exploring the town.

My shaves for the past several days has been nothing but outstanding. I am enjoying the Cella weekday focus.

Tomorrow we will be at the island of St. Thomas. Hopefully I can post again
