Week 2 of July setup:
Pre-Shave: Face brush-washed with RazoRock Essential Oil of Lime soap
Razor: Gillette Slim; setting 9
Blade: Tatra Platinum; 12th shave
Soap: RazoRock Essential Oil of Lime, face-lathered
Brush: RazoRock Snowman
Post-Shave: Gabel's Lime Menthol ASL

The Tatra blade appeared for its 12th and final shave today. Relathering and going ATG twice still left stubble on my neck, even with the Slim on its most aggressive setting.

Still, the shave was quite presentable and there were no problems of any kind beyond the blade not holding a keen enough edge to yield a BBS shave.

If these blades weren't so rough on their first use, they would unseat the BiC Chrome Platinum as my favourite blade. But a rough first shave isn't a deal-breaker when followed by ten buttery-smooth, forgiving, and zero irritation shaves. I haven't deployed the Tatra with all 11 of my soaps/creams, either, so it's entirely possible that there's a untried blade and lather combination that will yield even better results.

The Astra Superior Platinum blade is up next, which I've previously found to be a good-but-not-great performer.

The Tea Tree Body Bar lathered well with the Jayaruh #458 Synthetic Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Rolls Traveler Razor and the 1953 Rolls Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Mennen Skin Bracer. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
