  5. Ladies and Gentlemen,

I proudly present my newest addition to my den.

A Ronson Razor in near mint condition. Only minor signs of usage. The razor has been cleaned and disinfected and is ready to get it´s maiden voyage on Wednesday. The original blade can unfortunately not be used. I asked a friend if he would be able to hone the blade and polish it, but he said, that it would be too difficult to hone this blade. So i will try it either with Injector Blades or with regular DE-Blades.

My god is this a beauty :love029::love055::love029: It is really a piece of art.

By the way…does anyone has an idea how old these 7 o ´clock Blades are?

  8. Hi Friends,

another rare find wants to introduce himself.

an „Emir“ Razor made by Karl Engels in Solingen. I need to find out quite a bit more about this beauty. I think it is out the 50‘s or 60‘s.

Now it needs to be cleaned thoroughly.

If someone has more informations, please share.

    Here are the pics:

smells like alcohol..cologne is ok..will add some menthol crystals to spice it up a bit..the aftershave bottle is destined for other duties..;):eatdrink047:
  12. My two cans of Rise Superfoam arrived today! Will get to the first can later this weeek; possibly on Throwback Thursday! Interestingly, it says on the can that the scent is that of the Original Rise Shave Cream! I think they did some tweaking around, as my other Rise Superfoam cans did NOT have that scent(close, but not quite).

  15. Yeah, I’d never heard of such a thing either. Many years ago, my aunt gave Gayle and me a weighted, chrome plated wine bottle coaster with a non-slip base as an anniversary gift. We enjoyed using it for a few weeks (as we almost always had a bottle of wine at the ready), but at some point we repurposed it as an olive oil bottle coaster and it’s remained that way ever since.
