    Razor: AA Gen Takahashi Tokusei
Brush: Simpson Trafalgar T2 Sovereign Synthetic
    Pre-Shave: Pears Transparent Soap
    Lather: Stirling Electric Sheep
    Aftershave: Stirling Electric Sheep
    Additional Care:
    Omega Alum
    Dickenson’s Original Witch Hazel
    Stirling Unscented Glacial Balm

I had looked forward to this shave for the past week or so. Finally, back to a little variety. Plenty to choose from, so I have the Stirling Electric Sheep the nod. Given the heat that has decided to grace our lovey little island I felt this choice was appropriate.

I had a very nice three pass shave that lead to super closeness. I did get one weeper along the right side burn area. See what I did there? The use of straight forward terminology to give a clear picture of the issue that presented itself.

Great intro, as usual, Joe! And I am "Late" commenting about it, also as usual!

    Good themes too!.

Hmm... Adjustable August is a no-brainer for me because I normally use my "adjustable" Supply 2.0 injector - although it's more accurate to call exchangeable plate razors like it "interchangeable". You can't adjust the shave on the fly with them the way you can a true dial-adjustable razor like a Gillette FatBoy. It may also be time for me to haul out the Gillette SuperAdjustable again and to re-try the Parker Adjustable injector and see if I can get better results with it now....

Awesome Aftershaves August -- I have a lot of those in my toybox that I have never even tried....

Arko August -- well, I cetainly have an Infinite Supply of those shave sticks around here...

On the whole, I think I will just call mine "Anything Goes August" and call it a day...

Shave today was better than yesterday. One change from yesterday, which was the

    A.S.-Osage Rub

I spent a little more time squeezing out the Rise. Still a squiggly snake, but n0t like yesterday. Will do better with it tomorrow. Very well done. Clean and clear all over. One pass. I didn't wet my face and neck as much as I do with other cans, soaps. I figured I'd let the Rise do the moisturizing, which is a key strength of the foam. In fact, on Rise commercials, you see the shaver just put the Rise on, with NO WATER. Course the closing line is "Imagine what Rise can do WITH water". The Osage Rub A.S. was most refreshing. No cologne today. As Outstanding As It Gets.

    Good morning.
    Shavette Shave #567
    Dovo
    Personna Hairshaper Blade (12)
    JR #290 Cashmere Brush
Captain's Choice 45th Parallel SS and AS
    Stirling Alum Block
    Personal Care Witch Hazel
    Beard Growth: 40.5 hrs

I decided that my first shave of the month would be that I use my Dovo shavette and the Captain's Choice 45th Parallel setup.
Three passes gave me a very nice, close and comfortable shave. I am very satisfied with all my soaps and Captain's Choice is no exception. It's easy to lather and it's slick. Here's my lather:

Didn't have any alum feedback. Finished with the witch hazel and then splashing the matching aftershave. Take care.

Friday Aug 02 (morning) - Anything Goes August

Prep: Hot shower with Aleppo olive oil soap w/ 20% bay laurel oil

Razor: Supply 2.0 matte black stainless steel injector w/ SE "nickproof" comb plate / vintage American-made Schick Plus Platinum(?) (9)

    Soap: Stirling Iced Pineapple

Brush: Simpson's Chubby 2 Synthetic Bristle

    Lather Bowl: None

Post: rinse, alum, rinse, Stirling Iced Pineapple splash

Last shave: Monday just after midnight - 4.3 days

The Planned Shave (with 2 razor options):

    IMG_20240802_084422_5_kindlephoto-130437887.jpg

I planned to start August with a bang - an Actually Adjustable, Arko, Awesome Aftershave August setup: Arko, either my Parker Adjustable injector or my Gillette SuperAdjustable 105 (refurbished and cerakoted in red and black by the wonderful but now defunct Delta Echo Razors), and an Awesome Aftershave. However:

    1. My allegedly-adjustable-but-actually-interchangeable Supply 2.0 still had a working blade in it and I didn't feel like starting a second blade in a different razor. I prefer keeping track of just one loaded blade at a time. So there went the true Adjustable....

    2. My choice for the first Awesome Aftershave of August was the nicely mentholated Stirling Iced Pineapple -- for which I have the equally nicely mentholated matching soap. Bye bye Arko....

The result - the Actual Shave:

    IMG_20240802_084520_9_kindlephoto-130392029.jpg

And how was it? Absolutely Awesome...
