Paul, try scooping out some of the soap around the perimeter and pressing g it into a bowl. Then whip up the soap in the bowl.

thanks Joe, thanks for the nudge in the right direction!

    Thanks Gary

Luxurious setup Gary, hefty looking razor indeed

Bear fat, very interesting. By all accounts it sounds like a super shave

Thanks Joe, when your straights lose their edge, how long does it take you to hone/strop them back to sharp?

Stabilized the crack, I remember somewhere back it was said (by you maybe?) you fill superglue this or was it something different. I hesitate on the razors with cracked handles, but that's me personally.

Sticking with this theme still, same hardware and software

5 straight days of Arko in a row, not bad, testing my stickability!

Astra Superior Platinum day 2, still good, but losing its initial edge, binned

Could have finished with just one pass, would have been acceptable for work, but not for me, so I completed the shave with 2 passes, and was well satisfied

    Nice safe shave, no damage,

Hope you all have a great Monday

Much better shave this morning. I'm glad I switched to the Proraso Refreshing soap, if just for today(course there's plenty of it left, and I have another full tub). A minute at the Loading Dock for a solid round of soap for the Razorock brush("Tricolore"). Clean and clear all over. Zero cuts, Knicks, Polka-Dots. 2 passes. Many times the only reason I feel good doing a second pass is that I may as well, since there's still a lot of soap on the brush and I don't want to waste it. This time, there was another good reason for it-I had a little more water than soap for the first, and I never use water for the second, just the extra soap. Nice work from the Stoylin Coniferous w/Menthol A.S. One Man Show cologne for the finish of a fine shave. As Outstanding As It Gets.

thank you Chris.:):eatdrink047:,it was me that used epoxy to repair a cracked handle .cracked handles are common on 1930' and older gillettes..;)but pose no issue shave wise once the crack is stabilized.:)
