  2. If you say "yes," your options for shipping become much more limited. If I recall correctly, those items are prohibited to ship by air (for the likes of you and I).

In practice, I've found that taping the lids shut, enclosing them in a freezer ziplock baggie, and several layers of bubble wrap taped on over that, generally ensures that the liquid remains in the bottle.

Grouping and bagging the other items in the box helps keep any one thing from smashing everything else.

If it troubles you, you can leave the fragrances out. It's recommended that sample size fragrances are preferred for the box anyways. Variety will always trump quantity. I'd rather see 40 sample jars of current production soap than 2 full size pucks of some long discontinued soap.

...depending on the soap, of course.

  5. It just flags the box for ground-only transportation. I answered yes and you got the box, so not a problem. Rather, I think not declaring could get you into trouble if it were to be discovered.

The regulations are grotesquely simplified for the hard of thinking. Anything that has even a remote possibility of being flammable can't go by air which means no Priority Mail. The Touring Box has to be wrapped to totally cover its priority status.

BTW, this is the same level of governmental thinking that leads to requiring octogenarians to show ID to prove they're old enough to buy beer.

Splashes are the only things that could possibly be flammable and they're so dilute that there is very little danger on that front (other than one heck of a mess if the bottle breaks). Still, if you say "No" and anything does happen, then you could be held liable for damages, not to mention any blow-back for lying to the Feds.

So I'd say "Yes" and ship Ground. If you choose differently, I won't be judgemental.

The last time I was in the Tour, I shipped it Ground w/insurance. No problem that way and it cost me just about the same and arrived at the next stop only one day later than if it had gone Priority Mail.
