My stickability isn't too good....not even on Oudtober or Neumann November, when I am SUPPOSED to feature Agadir or Bill Neumann, respectively. Hard for me to go over 3, let alone your 5.

SE Shave # 402 - DECLARATION GROOMING MICROMATIC MONDAY - DG Original

    Rating: 5 / 5

    Razor: GEM Micromatic Open Comb
    Blade: GEM Stainless (9)
    Brush: Epsilon Horse Hair
    Pre-Shave: Pears Transparent Soap
    Lather: Declaration Grooming Original
    Aftershave: Declaration Grooming Original
    Additional Care:
    Omega Alum
    Dickenson’s Original Witch Hazel
    Stirling Unscented Glacial Balm

My first Micromatic shave in well over a month. As always I was rewarded with a stellar shave. I did my usual three passes with flawless results. No hiccups or need to call in the bullpen.

Once again this morning I was up early to get in X3Bar workout. The above picture features the bar and the most intense band in the arsenal. The tension for the band ranges from a maximum of 250 to over 500 lbs depend on whether you double the band or leave it single.
Today was lower body day , including deadlifts and squats. Yes, Joe, @Trigger, can you say “Beastmode”. Of course I took a dip in the oool afterwards. So refreshing.

Hope you all have had a great day. Those of you in the path of Debbie Downer, hope your are safe.

    Joe, get your kayak ready.

Great shave and workout Joe. I was at LA Fitness this afternoon to work on my chest and back. It's great that we can get a good workout despite being in our 60's.

August 5 SOTE Head and Face Shave

    Good evening.

    Rockwell 6C (5)
Feather Hi Stainless DE Blade (5,6)
    Parker Synthetic Brush
    TSD Barbershoppe SS and AS
    Stirling Alum Block
    Personal Care Witch Hazel
    Beard Growth: 33 hrs
    Dome Turf: 3 days

    20240805_202055.jpg

I needed to do a face and headshave so the Rockwell 6C got the call. I have to say that I have never gone beyond 4 uses on a Feather blade so I figured let me see how it goes on the face for the 5th use. I only needed 2 passes for an error-free BBS shave. I figured let me do the headshave for the 6th use on this blade. On 2 passes plus touchups, I am cueball smooth without any red leakage. Needless to say, I was impressed.

The TSD Barbershoppe soap gave a nice, sleek and creamy lather as evidenced below:

Got some alum feedback on the neck, but not on the dome. Splashed on the witch hazel and the matching aftershave to end this session. Take care.

Adjustable, Arko, Aloe Vera, Astra, (oh, and Alum)

Repeat shave, sticking to this for a bit longer, turning this is a short mini focus
Day 6 of Arko/TOBS Aloe Vera, thinner and slicker lather
It does help to get to know the lather and the razor a bit better
Merkur Progress set on 4 with a fresh Astra Platinum and did a great job
Alum was a bit stingy lower right side of neck but no blood appeared
    Thayers and Old Spice
    Super smooth
    No Nivea Balm today
    Santal Spirit Sandalwood

    Have a great Tuesday

i use a flat toothpic and add a thin layer of epoxy to the inside of the tube.the thin layer prevents the crack from growing.:)

    Thanks Chris.

Regarding the straight losing their edge. Usually when I refresh a blade, with either a 12K stone or lapping paper, just a few minutes. If I have to set the bevel, then the process could take me up to a half hour including the set up of materials.
