A fine can shave this morning. Again, clean and clear all around. North Porcupine required a little extra effort, but I got it done. No cuts, Knicks, Polka-dots. One pass. I wish Rise Menthol was still around, so I could compare it to Proraso Refreshing. The Prororaso Refreshing A.S. felt niiice. No cologne today. Super Duper Outstanding.

Ok thanks, sounds interesting. Lapping paper, not the old fashioned strops then? Setting the bevel, after how many shaves would you have to do this then? Just interested, not intention of going there!

thanks Joe, Regarding the Arko, yes it used to. For most of this weeks Arko shaves I have mixed it with TOBS Aloe Vera, and used Nivea after shave balm and didn't find any real dryness. No balm this morning, I usually find the balms to be a bit comedogenic. But then again, I do have a naturally greasy skin

Wonderful shave on the humid morning. Three passes that easily took care of this morning’s growth. The badger brush whipped up a nice lather. This brush was the first brush I purchased back in the mid 90’s. The Ever Ready 200T which you have seen in a number of recent travels shaves I swiped from my father in the mid 70’s.

I strop my razors before every shave. I refresh the edge on when needed, if I begin to feel the blade tugging on the beard. The number of shaves varies, some razors 40 shaves others probably closer to a 100. Depends on the steel.
